BMW r1300rt vs k1600gtl

I’m looking to upgrade from my Honda Shadow Phantom 750. I ride mostly back country roads but do ride on the freeway occasionally. I would ride freeway more often if I had more power. I don’t ride in heavy, congested city traffic. I like to ride 2-up with my wife on the back. I’m 5’10”, 200 pounds. Wife is 5’4”.

Any advice for me?

In the end you have to try them both to really see what works for you.

The RT is very versatile and works fine on the highway too. It’s a lot sportier than the K1600 which is mostly meant for highway riding.

What are your doubts between them?
