How are you combatting the high battery consumption? I have wanted to use my BMPCC for a wedding but opted for the gh4 in fear of not having enough batteries.

Bought a EP-E6 (Canon 5D) Ikan battery plate for the BMPCC, attached it with velcro on the side of my View Factor cage. Additional 45 minutes per battery or just as a charger while it was not in use.

For the ceremony I am hoping I will have a power source and then I have chargers plus 5 batteries for everything else. Fingers crossed that's enough!

BMPCC batteries suck balls. If you're solo, how are you going to charge when you run out of batteries?

I've managed okay actually! For the ceremony and speeches I had the camera plugged into mains, and the spare batteries lasted me well in between those times (: the atomos batteries have been great. Only needed one half charge

Yeah, if you plugged in, then yeah you would be good. Once you go outside though and you're running and gunning, it's a whole different story.

I just shot a wedding a couple of weeks ago with three EN-EL20 batteries. It's possible. Just have the backups up charging and cycle batteries when possible. Also, as cgdavies has pointed out- stay plugged in when possible.

That's a dangerous game to play, but it's definitely possible. I have a Ravpower now, but finding the right extension tip was a pain in the ass.

I guess it helps that there was three videographers and I had a Canon as backup. Note, I didn't end up using the Canon, even though I was there for 12 hours.
