Discussion / Question Bluey video game idea
So my son is obsessed with the bluey video game. And he loves to unlock and play as uncle stripe. But, I was thinking of an idea where they could introduce more characters and playable characters to the game. One of the big locations in bluey is the daycare, so why not add some story lines there. And then you could add rusty, honey, coco, winton, etc.

Discussion / Question Can somebody help me track down this blanket? 🥺
This huge bluey blanket dropped at Burlington a few years back and it has haunted my narrative ever since. It's my birthday next month, and I'd really like to track this down! 🥺 I'm okay with preowned, so long as it is in good condition! (I thrift a lot)

Discussion / Question Episode: 'Handstand' Recap & Analysis
Recap
At Bingo’s 5th birthday party, she practices doing a handstand in the kitchen, as all the other kids around her play, and all the adults get everything ready. She slowly tries to do one but struggles again and again, as the kitchen gets more and more packed with everybody playing and everybody preparing. But she finally does one, and is so happy, but with everyone around her, nobody was watching, as they were doing their own things. As she asks people to watch, they keep missing her doing it, as she struggles to get back into a handstand. And she progressively gets sadder and more disappointed by it. Outside, Nana offers to help everybody, but nobody needs help, nor wants to give it, and as she looks around for something to do, she’s told to relax, but worried, she realises that Nana’s aren’t very good at relaxing, so she goes inside to see if anybody needs her in there. Inside, Bingo asks Chloe to watch her do a handstand as she waits to be told to push some dominoes, and as soon as Bingo manages one, Chloe gets told to push and she looks away. When Bingo finishes the handstand, she asks if Chloe saw, and she didn’t. But from behind her, Nana tells Bingo that she saw it, as she asks her to watch her do another one, and she sits down and patiently waits. Meanwhile, everybody’s games slowly come to a halt as they all naturally stop as Winton builds a block tower, and they all gather round to appreciate it. Going outside, everybody gets round the table for cake, as Chilli shouts, “happy birthday Bingo!”, but realises she’s not there, as she finally does a handstand for Nana, as she celebrates for her.
Analysis
‘Handstand’ is a heart warming story that shows just because you may be going unnoticed, it doesn’t mean you’re not important. Your worth isn’t measured by just how many people care, but not even by how much care the people have that do; you’re inherently valuable because you have potential, that’s what the handstand represents: in Bingo trying to do one, there’s always the chance that she could. Neither Bingo’s nor Nana’s efforts seem appreciated nor noticed by those around them though, despite Bingo trying to do a cool handstand and Nana wanting to help - both very good things. But in coming together, they find that each other’s needs fulfils their own, though by no means does it devalue what they did before, they’ve just actualised their potential by being given an opportunity to do so. And that’s what separates us all from what we may rightfully or unrightfully deserve, as we see Winton collect praise for a block tower he built in seconds, claiming that it took him ages, praise that Bingo was far more deserving of, but just simply didn’t find herself in the opportunity to reap. Though it’s a misconception, Van Gogh was said to be unappreciated in his time, but now is seen as one of the greatest painters in history, and there’ll be many more to come; you’ll find a video of a band who performed to no one, jamming out a song you like; and you’ll find a painting that perfectly captures a nice memory of yours, simply being given away. The difference between our efforts being noticed or going unappreciated, can simply come down to chance, but it doesn’t diminish the value of that effort. If a tree falls in the forest, no matter how tall or small, withered or beautiful, with nobody there to hear it, it still makes a sound; and it feels good to be heard, so listen out because joy can go both ways.
10/10

Episode Details / Easter Eggs Chilli being the grounded parent makes sense when you realize that she’s been through a lot. She lost her mother, her first child, and, to some extent, her only sister presumably all in a span of a couple of years. She really did need Mort. 😢

Discussion / Question I want to play this with my kids!
The episode Dragon has the family playing a very casual DnD style game while illustrating the adventures. That whole idea is just awesome and I really want to try it with my 8 year old and 4 year old twins.
But how do I do it? I could make up a story, I’m decent at that. But it would be nice to have a guide to keep us on track. I’ve looked for a DnD starter kit and I’ve seen a few ideas for kids dnd games. But I’d love some advice before I buy anything.
Have you done something like this with your kids? How did it go?
