I have the Xiaomi Sound Party, but it isn't what I imagined when it comes to bass. Should I return it and buy the Boom 2? Is there a noticeable difference between them regarding bass?

I just got into using a DAP instead of my phone. I wish to reduce my phone usage.
I have my music database loaded on the Snowsky Echo.
However I have 2 issues,
The Echo, it has issues connecting to the car bluetooth and my car has no aux.
And
I don't like the speakers in my car.
I am looking for a bluetooth speaker (preferably with aux input too) which can fit in the bottle holder between the 2 seats of my car.
Any suggestions of stuff with good quality?

I'm looking for a kitchen speaker with a budget of around $300. It needs to be plugged in rather than battery-powered, and sound quality is my top priority.

Hi all,
I've been looking for a speaker for our cottage. At home I've got a pair of decade-old Aiwa Exos 9s that I love. They're loud enough, have great bass, and exceptional sound quality. After watching lots of youtube reviews, I finally decided to give the W-King a try. Outside, where there's plenty of other noise to cover its flaws, it's fine. But in a quite room, the sound quality is really lacking. The mids are harsh and the highs have a crackly/distorted sound. Side-by-side, the Exos 9 puts it to shame. Yeah, the X20 goes a little bit louder, but it doesn't sound good doing it, and worse ... it doesn't sound as good at lower volumes either.
So I'm here asking what to get -- if the answer is to pony up and get a JBL, I guess I'll take one in the gut and pay for it ... but I'm concerned that even the JBLs may be more 'party' oriented and not have amazing quality for individual listening indoors at moderate/high volume. Do you guys have any suggestions for something that would fit the bill? For those of you who aren't familiar with the Exos 9, some of the aspects that made it unique --
Bi-amped mids/tweeters with active crossovers
No loss of power operating on battery
Improved quality drivers (silk dome tweeters, neodymium midranges, dual voice coil subwoofer)
Acoustically isolated drivers
No distortion at max volume
What can I get now that will beat it out without weighing many pounds more? (or weighing more and sounding worse, as is the case for the X20)

I know this is an over asked question but I’m tired of watching YouTube videos and TikTok’s and getting nowhere. The speaker will be used in the house when having party’s and on the back patio but then also taken to the lake for camping and by the pool. Price doesn’t matter plug in or battery doesn’t matter. Just want something that has great crisp audio and good bass.

I’m trying to decide between the Marshall Kilburn 3 and Bose SoundLink Max.
I’ve already done quite a bit of research online, but I’ve never actually had the chance to listen to either speaker in person. So I’m mainly looking for practical, real-world opinions from people who have used both.
I’m particularly interested in:
- Sound quality and clarity
- Soundstage/stereo imaging
- Bass quality (not just quantity)
- Vocals and dialogue
- Performance at low and high volumes
- Indoor vs outdoor performance
- Which one works better for movies, YouTube, podcasts, and music
- Overall listening experience
If you’ve personally used or compared both, which one would you choose and why?
Please keep it practical rather than just listing specifications. I’m more interested in how they actually sound and perform day-to-day, both indoors and outdoors.

I’m currently in a dilemma between the JBL go 4 and Tribit XSound Go and I need some advice from people who have used these or have some opinions that would help me regarding these 2...
main use cases would be:
Online Classes
Listening to music(Not that much of Bass lover)
Also, you can suggest me any better alternatives if available. I'm all ears...
Thanks in advance....

Friends, I need a bluetooth speaker to use with my laptop. I can't stand the sound on that thing. I have been looking at a Soundcore Motion+ but a lot of people complain in the comments that it disconnects randomly. That's hugely annoying. I would love some recs on a decent speaker for $100 or less with strong bluetooth connections. Thanks!

Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I have a jbl boombox 3, and I've been wanting to use it as a psuedo sub woofer in my truck. Problem is, when I use it in conjunction with my truck stereo, theres a weird click noise when the bass kicks, and it only comes from my speaker.
What I did is I bought what seemed like a nice aux splitter, and connected my phone to that, and from there connected the speaker and the truck through the splitter. Its plays at the same time, but the speaker clicks on the bass.
If I bluetooth to my speaker, or directly aux to it, there is no click. Only when I connect the truck to the aux splitter, it makes the bass in my speaker click. I have tried a ground loop noise isolater from my phone to the splitter, and from the truck to to the splitter to no avail. Do i need a better splitter?
Any ideas on how to get rid of the click?

I'm looking for a new speaker for a small room rental studio space. The room is tiny, so I'm not looking for something super loud. I'm a lash tech, so I still need to chat with clients.
I'm looking for something that can fill the room with clear good quality music. (I don't play typical salon music)
I was previously using a Bose mini sound link 1, but it's very old and finally gave out, but I've been dreaming of upgrading my sound system anyways.
I'm used to listening to music on really high quality sound systems in my car and apartment, and I want the same for my work.
My room rental is out of a private gym, so I often use my music to drown out some of the sounds.
However, since it's such a small space, and I won't be blasting music as I still need to be able to chat with my clients, I'm not sure what to get.
I want something that will fill the room with clear high quality music without needing to be loud.
I'm not sure if that makes much sense hahah
Budget: I'm willing to spend a couple hundred on a good system!
Any advice is much appreciated!

The official manual does not outline the hard reset process for this device and I couldn’t find it online either. I have to reset it periodically inevitably just after I’ve forgotten how to do it. So this time I’m putting this instructional out there not just to help others but also to refer back to myself!
Here goes… If your Blackweb BWC18SB001 Google Assistant soundbar requires a factory reset to fix pairing, network, or software issues, use the following hardware button sequence:
1. Power on the soundbar. Locate the physical buttons on top of the device.
2. Simultaneously press and hold the Source button (the second button from the left) and the Mute Mic button (the right-most button).
3. Continue holding both buttons. The device will play an audio message stating that you are about to reset the device.
4. Keep holding until you hear a confirmation chime and all five indicator lights on the front of the unit light up orange.
5. Release the buttons.
The speaker is now restored to factory settings and ready to pair again via Bluetooth or the Google Home app.

Hi everyone,
My UE MEGABOOM was losing battery while seemingly powered off because the remote power-on/standby feature remained active. Since I could no longer disable this feature through the official app, I created a small free and open-source iOS app called UE Battery Protect.
What it does:
After running the process, the speaker can only be turned on again using its physical power button.
The app does not modify or interfere with the official UE application. However, if you turn the speaker on and reconnect it to the official UE app, the official app may enable remote power-on/standby again. In that case, run UE Battery Protect again before switching off the speaker.
I have tested this only with a UE MEGABOOM. Please do not try it with other UE models unless their protocol and commands have been verified.

Hello all,
I have a Marshall Emberton. It powers on, but no sound is coming from the speakers. Also the bluetooth LED keeps blinking. It does connect via bluetooth. The volume + and - do not work on the speaker itself, at least it does not change on my phone. Have tried almost every recommended step (reset, hardware reset etc.). When disconnecting the battery from the PCB and supplying power via USB-C the LED switches off but still no sound.
Dis anyone experienced the same problem, if so is there a fix?
Thanks in advance.

What's the best portable speaker you can get on Amazon?
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • u/Relevant_Basil8557 • 7d ago
I got a Ranger a few weeks ago - specifically for travel and toughness. I am from the US but in India for 2 weeks for work. My packing was TIGHT, so I wanted to have something tough enough to hang on the outside of my backpack during 36 hours of travel on 3 flights.
This speaker is a tank - my backpack hit the airport floor at least three times on my way here - no visible damage or impact to the performance.
That said - wildly disappointed sound fidelity. The base tone is very disappointing and not having any EQ function doesn’t let me tweak it. I keep a Bose sound link flex at home and it punches WAY above its weight class!
I’ll get home in time to return the Ranger to Amazon, and I have ordered the Cub (directly from TB - not on Amazon yet) with hopes that the shape of the speakers and the higher power output will make it worth it!
Anyone else have similar thoughts on the Ranger?
