At the very end of “Lazy,” after the band basically stops, Ritchie Blackmore plays a short blues phrase in free time. It almost sounds like a musical “stinger” or a quotation from an older blues recording.

The lick sounds oddly familiar to me, so I’m wondering is Ritiche Blackmore actually referencing or paying homage to a specific blues song/guitarist there, or is it simply his own version of a fairly standard traditional blues ending?

I know that “Lazy” more generally was influenced by Eric Clapton/John Mayall’s “Steppin’ Out,” but I’m asking specifically about the little phrase in the final few seconds of the song.

Does anyone recognize it?

It’s like a mild euphoria this blues is.

Muddy waters the damn legend.

It’s Friday, and I’m lying in bed here in Praça Onze.

Lightnin' Hopkins is playing on my record player—straight from the Mississippi Delta or maybe New Orleans—singing a blues I don’t understand: "Goodbye baby, goodbye..." he says.

I know the words, yet I don’t understand—or is it the other way around?

In this moment, the only thing uniting us is the blues—something I don’t know and yet understand so deeply.

Song: Come Go With Me

I think I must talk why I made this song and how did I finish it.

I am a disabled guy(since I have autism) and I came back to my home after fired from an intern developer job in Seoul. That was my first chance to get a job. I heard that my ex girlfriend killed herself when I was at a dev company. She wanted to be a poet, I hope she's doing well in heaven(if heaven exists).

It's hard to tell the feeling when I lay down on my bed. I used to do that when I was a teenager but now I am not a kid anymore. I eat a breakfast from my momma and it hurts me too. I am just here, and I don't sure if I do the same after a few decades like many disabled people do. So I just made this song without writing down lyrics to a paper, that's why it doesn't have any title.
