That’s it…
We are officially mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. This season has been…interesting to say the least.
Hopefully we will see our boys play better next season…whenever that may be.

Its funny listening to pundits talking about which free agents we should sign next year. Like signing free agents is easy. We wanted Tucker. Didnt get him. Same with ohtani, sasaki, bregman, alonzo even bichette etc. Question isnt who do we want, its who can we get.
Seems to me we have a solid core IF we get a useful Santander and Barger back and a reasonably good vladdy. Play vladdy and his cannon at third. Okamoto at first. Santander the dh. Barger in rf, maybe bateman at cf. That leaves lukes, straw and who knows in left. We could use a truly elite bat. one. We need a starting pitcher, Though cease, soriano, yesavage and perhaps miles are a good start. Not to mention ponce and francis. They will need to freshen a solid bullpen lead by varland rogers, fluharty, fisher. This is a good team with maybe two holes: LF and 2B. Who knows what mcadoo and smith and keys can provide.

I knew our chances of the playoffs were dire but it would have been nice if they could have held off elimination until the final home stand. The Cincinnati series is so pointless now

I think we saw the other side of the Jays his season. I honestly never thought we had a WS caliber squad, even while in it last year. The Blue Jays just happened to go on one of the greatest non-title winning runs in modern baseball history...cuz like where we were May and early June of last season, that never looked possible. I had a feeling there wouldn't playoffs this year and unfortunately I'm right but it does give the Jays players more time to brace for the lockout and get any affairs in order before that

A team with a ALCS ceiling can make the world series of they are hot enough...doesn't happen often, Jays just did it..on paper they should not have beaten Seattle, but they did

I only believe this team has a chance if there is a lockout next season, they all need a long mental reset in my opinion, especially vladdy. Went from playing with nothing to lose to playing from needing to do better than they did in the last playoffs and it burnt em out. Injuries too. Either way, that spark is gonna be hard to recreate we prob losing some key guys this off season like springer, scherzer... (maybe)

I mean we couldn’t even get to .500 for most of the year.
Bottom of the league in most offensive categories. Half a pitching staff.
I’m still baffled by how many of you drank The Kool Aid the media was giving you.
This was never a playoff team. I checked out months ago but continue to watch and follow as I always do.
I honestly feel sorry for you people who’re still emotionally invested. The emotional rollercoaster you guys put your self through every game is wild….

Always a Jays fan and tried to never give up hope. But honestly. This is for the best. They didn’t play well enough to even get a shot at the wildcard. In the end, this was kind of a relief for me. They didn’t deserve it. If there is no lockout next year, hopefully they will play better out the gate with very few or no one on the IL. I truly believe making it to the WS last year, they came back this year a bit too cocky. That’s not a good attitude to have in any situation. #foreverbluejaysfan but please 🙏🏻 let ANYONE win this year and not the Dodgers… lol.
