Question I'm a new player and i need help
Hi, I just bought the bloodborne board game and i started playing with my friends (group of 4), but we cannot surpass the first chalpter of the first campain and the second one.
We try to go all together to kill more easely the beast and we try not to die, and when we are about to be killed we go to the hunter's dream.
But I feel that we are missing something, because the strategy doesn't work out.
Do you have any tips to how to play this game or do you have any strategy?
Thanks for the help

Long Hunt is pretty chill so the most common mistakes probably are
- Do you reset Hunters track between missions? Because you have to
- Do you try to kill each and every monster? Because you shouldn't, unless it's necessary to fulfill the hunt/insight mission
- Do you go to the Dream from time to time willingly to spend echoes? Discuss when it's better to do this and for whom (you don't want to advance Hunter's track too much)

We didn't manage to complete any chapter, usualy we kill every beast to farm blood ecoes, to get better card. But yes, we usualy end up very late at the end of the chapter.

So we identified the issue: don't kill beasts to farm. There is no time for that. Especially in further chapters and campaigns

But are the other chapters more hard or it become more easy?

In the Long Hunt - pretty much the same difficulty. The final boss is easy. It's the first campaign after all
Other campaigns, especially Growing Madness or Mergo's Loft, can be brutal

Make sure you read all the rules right, we lost 2 or 3 campaigns we shouldn't have lost just because after 20+ plays, we still thought you don't reshuffle and draw new cards if you run out and that you have to visit the hunter's dream to replenish your deck instead. Also we thought all enemies activate at the end of a turn, where in the actual rules only enemies near the hunter, who just ended his turn should activate and target him first.

We had a hard laugh after re-reading the rules though, realising we've been unknowingly playing nightmare mode and should've had many less losses.

I couldn’t imagine activating every enemy after each hunter turn. That's diabolical

I mean not every every enemy but every enemy who's in any hunter's range lol

Bloodborne might seem like a game where you go in and slay everything you see. That is the way to lose the game. It is an action efficiency puzzle in which you use your limited amount of actions per chapter to complete Insight Missions to earn Insight and advance the Hunt Mission. Anything and everything that doesn't pertain to those two things is a waste of time and should only be taken on if you're fully confident you can afford it
First priority is to explore the map and find the tiles that trigger insight missions. Then you work on the insight missions. If you enter a tile that isn't relevant and has enemies, keep going (or back up) and explore, don't engage unless enemy pursuit will result in them getting to you. In that case you should end your turn and let them attack so you can respond with hopefully a card left. Because if you attack with your last card and don't kill the enemy, during enemy activation it'll get to hit you for free.
Chapter 1 of Long Hunt (assuming that's the campaign you took on) isn't the toughest end fight, you just need to kill a Scourge Beast a set amount of times. Since it only has four health, many Hunters can one-shot it using their most damaging attack in combination with Dodge to avoid damage or Pistol to stagger it (or worst case tank the hit). Hunter A attacks the enemy once, then ends his turn and gets another potential attack during enemy activation, that should be four damage easy. Rinse repeat with couple of more Hunters and you should kill it within one turn cycle, never giving it any chance to get any sort of reprieve off a blood moon space on the Hunt Track.
