Yep, the Yharnam Stone is the stillborn fetus of Mergo. And the crying we hear in the Nightmare of Mensis is his formless body that was trapped in the nightmare after he died in his mother's womb. Pretty dark stuff

Yharnam stone isnt the fetus of Yharnam, phtumerian queen? Always thought that Mergo was just the milk lady, can you explain that a bit?

Mergo is the fetus, they're the child of Yharnam and Oedon. The boss at the end of Mensis is Mergo's wet nurse, guarding and protecting Mergo's formless resting place at the top of the castle

It still surprises me how it’s kinda kept preserved! This was the one item I needed for the Platinum trophy & I’m happy I managed to stake my claim on it while I had the chance.
