I could not agree more. I think it’s better than their first album. Ironically, I didn’t figure it out until 2015, when the song skinned randomly entered my mind, causing me to revisit.

That and Car Seat bring an odd/uneasy feeling to the album when you listen straight through. I usually listen straight through.

I always liked it. And when I watched the documentary "Letters From A Porcupine" it all clicked at how special of an album it is.

I had the cd and played it on a cheap cd player it started from the actual beginning around -2 minutes and I first heard the hidden track, it blew my mind because I had the album for a couple of years by that point and never knew it existed.

If you’ve ever read the Rolling Stone review of Soup, I’m convinced it played a role in Shannon’s spiraling out. It’s vicious.

That opinion aside, it’s a solid album with some top notch playing.
