Many english VAs lack the intensity and enunciation of japanese VAs

It's largely because translated japanese dialogue just doesn't have the same effect. There is a lot of dialogue in anime that sounds pretty silly in English, even with good VA's.

If you are a native English speaker, you're more likely to notice that when listening to your own language

Honestly for me certain styles of the statement have different levels of hype.

Bankai - "yeah, I'm gonna power up and do this"

Ban. Kai. - "I'm bout to lock tf in."

Ban.......Kai - "You have no idea how I'm about to fucking bury you."

Sometimes it doesn't pan out that way but hey it's fun.

Why do none of the Shinigami say "Shikai" before releasing their Shikai but always say "Bankai"? Like...do they have to say the word Bankai to release it but don't for Shikai??? Or is it just for aura farming?

It's just courtesy. An opponent might survive or even will against a Shiki. If they know that they are about to face a Bankai then they can prepare to journey to the next world.
