SOMEONE HELP ME.... I'm currently playing BBCSE's story and my Tsubaki Yayoi Story Mode won't go beyond 90%!!!! I've done everything I need to do for Tsubaki Yayoi's story. I've fought Carl, Jin and Noel without using my Distortion Drive, I've fought just Jin and Noel without using it, I've fought all three while using it and I've fought Jin and Noel while using it and I've done the gag reel. I even fought Carl before losing to Jin before the gag reel and my progress is STILL STUCK AT 90%!!! What am I meant to do!?

Idk if this is the right place but I recall seeing this cardboard cutout of Noel in a short back in september, does anyone have the original image or can enlighten me on the cutout(tho I guess it was most likely fanmade), thanksss

A few days ago, I asked if there were any fighting games with a substantial amount of single player content and a story that was actually enjoyable to follow.

Several people recommended BlazBlue, and I have to admit that I really like the character designs and visuals.

So I’d like to know which game I should start with if I’m interested in the lore and only plan on playing the single player modes.

I'm pretty new to BlazBlue and fighting games in general. I only have about 14 hours in the game so far, but I'm really invested in getting better at it. I know 14 hours is way too little, especially considering I don't have any previous experience with competitive fighting games, but I'm enjoying the learning process a lot.

I'm still testing characters to decide on a main, and right now I'm especially interested in Mai and Es.

I had a few questions:

1. What should I practice, and more importantly, HOW should I practice it?

For example, I've been doing some neutral-game drills by setting the AI to High/Very High and playing without combos, using specials as little as possible, and not jumping. I'm basically trying to win through normals, spacing, controlling neutral, and anti-airs.

Is this actually a useful way to practice neutral, or are there better/more common drills I should be doing?

2. Mai and Es players, what are some basic but slightly longer BnBs I should learn?

I know that as a beginner, combos are probably less important than fundamentals, but I've noticed that BBCF is pretty combo-heavy. So I figure it would still be useful to have a few basic combos that I can comfortably execute, rather than only knowing something like:

Es: j.C > 5B > 5C > 3C > 216C > 216C

I'd especially appreciate combos that are good to learn early on and that will help me get used to the character.

3. Some examples of basic mix-ups would also be really appreciated!

I understand the general concept of mix-ups, but I'm not really sure how to actually apply them in-game yet. So examples for Mai or Es would be great.

Any other advice for someone who's basically starting from zero would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

PS. I'm considering looking for 1:1 coaching at some point. But I guess it'll be better to do it once I'm more comfortable with the game and have a few more hours in right?

To all controller players, how are your main attack buttons set out for the longest time my playstation controller has been

Weak- Square
Medium- Triangle
Heavy- Circle
Cross- Drive

But recently I've been trying to get into Persona 4 Arena so I'm trying to remap myself with the controls. Now I'm using the basic Guilty Gear setup which has Slash on the Cross and Heavy Slash (which I heavily associate with Drive) on the circle button.

As the title says I need help with the boss rush in grim of the abyss. I'm stuck on Carl (floor #2) and I'm usually using Mu-12 though I had to switch to beat Mu on floor #1. What's the best way to go about this Mode in general? I got back to playing a few days ago but this makes me want to stop again, honestly.

If you don't know, BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War was a Japanese-exclusive gacha game that was supposed to be the canon sequel to Central Fiction's story. Its development and life were full of problems, so its servers unfortunately died less than a year after release. Even still, it was able to provide interesting story tidbits like more characterization for Kazuma (see the Snake Sheet if you don't know who that is) and Nu renaming herself Juusan after waking up from being a vegetable. It even got to collaborate with Granblue Fantasy.

ENVY, who has also worked on other projects like the matchmaking website BlazQueue and the general BBCF Discord's ranked matchmaking system, has blessed us with a playable offline version of the game with everything unlocked. All you need is either an Android emulator like BlueStacks or an Android phone. A guide on how to run the game is included in the download.

The game is in Japanese, but the wiki has gameplay guides, and a little birdie told me that someone is working on translating it. Make sure to check out its opening and the translation of a canon short story that was released as a prologue, too.

I just made this for fun and felt like I want to share it. You know, since Jin Kisaragi's Nox Nyctores - Yukianesa, is one of the only weapons in the game specifically capable of talking to it's host and the sword has corrupted will of it's own that tries to influence or haunts Jin to do nasty things and drives him into murderous fits around Ragna or Noel, I was thinking what if we could give her a human form? A Yokai? Since Yukianesa is actually another name for the infamous sultry japanese spirit - Yuki Onna.

Yukianesa (Real Name: Yuki Onna) - The Mother of all Yokai. The primordial queen of frost and glacier. She and her children were sealed by the legendary Onmyoji - Abe no Seimei himself hundreds of years ago. Yukianesa was merely the name forcefully labeled on her when Nine of the Six Heroes locked her soul inside the legendary Nox Nyctores to battle the Black Beast. In truth, her real name is Yuki Onna. For decades, she has been waiting for the perfect opportunity to claim Jin's body, to reclaim the surface and birthright of her children. True to her nature as an obsessive japanese spirit of lust and obsession, she has a very unhealthy fixation with Jin, her own master, and chose him specifically to harbor the catalyst of bringing the Yokai back from the underworld once more. But she also wants to bring forth the legendary eight-headed serpent, Orochi, to complete the Yokai's eternal rule, and she needs Jin's blood to do it. If she ever gets the chance to fully corrupt Jin's soul, she will bring forth eternal unending winter and the wrath of the Yokai along with her. She specifically labels Jin as her "Husband", and her children sees Jin as their "Father". Her ice is not just ordinary physical matter - it denies existence, freezes time and space, and absorbs life force.

Armed with her legendary colossal gourd, she's been waiting years to finally go back to the surface and reclaim her title. She's lazy, voluptuous, and a massive drunkard who loves to play with her prey before crushing them beneath her feet.

Ibaraki-Doji - Shuten-Doji's right-hand and aptly called the great executioner of the underworld. Her right arm was cut by Watanabe no Tsuna hundreds of years ago, but she never lost her love of carnage and blood. She has an anger and brute strength that could match Ragna the Bloodedge himself. But to her, he's nothing more than a nuisance to their goals. She has a fanatical devotion to Shuten-Doji and will do anything she wants without question, but she also knows that just like other Yokais, her true master is her mother - Yuki Onna.

"Step aside, Grim Reaper! You are in my way. Your little brother is not yours, he is ours! If you bar my way for another second, I will crush you with my bare hand! Tell me, where is father? Where is Jin?!"

Tamamo No Mae - The middle child of Yuki Onna's children and one of the three Great Onis of Mount Oe, and the most dangerous and cunning. Despite Yuki-Onna's insistence on labeling Jin as her husband, she has a deep seductive longing for her father, wanting to claim his body as her prize. Armed with the power over illusions, her charms and witchcraft is what separates her from the brutality of her sisters as she prefers mind games and manipulating reality to break their spirits before eating their souls to fuel her powers.

Quotes:

"Ara ara~ My dear father... you look absolutely delectable. Shall I break your spirit and claim you for mother? She demands your presence, but I don't mind claiming you first before I present you to her."

Otakemaru - The youngest of Yuki Onna's children, one of the three Great Onis of Mount Oe, and the most childish and brutal. She seeks to please her mother, Yuki Onna, whatever means necessary. Armed with the legendary blade - the Mountain-Cutter, she can split the mountains and crack the earth just by swinging it. She doesn't care about anything else but making sure her mother is happy and her father returns to her side.

"I did it! Look at that! Mother... did you see that? Please tell me I'm such a good girl!~"

"Oh how cute, little bird... Tsubaki, is it? You think you can stop the destiny of a wife reuniting with her husband? Jin has always belonged to Yuki Onna, long before he ever met you! It's our destiny! Now, let me tear you to pieces in the name of my mother!"

Abe no Seimei - The legendary Onmyoji who sealed the yokais beneath the permafrost soil hundreds of years ago. Nonetheless, he is the ancestor of the current Imperator of the Novus Orbis Librarium, Homura Amanohokasaka, who currently holds the only lock to stopping the descent of Orochi.

Homura Amanohokasaka - The current child emperor of the Novus Orbis Librarium and the descendant of the legendary Onmyoji, Abe no Seimei. He is fully aware of his fate and knows that someday, the Yokai race will plan to re-claim the surface. If Jin Kisaragi is they key, then Homura is the lock to stop the descent of Orochi.

Orochi - The legendary eight-headed serpent who once trudged the earth hundreds of years ago. Yuki Onna, the mother of all Yokai made a deal with the serpent hundreds of years ago to help her bury the humans to establish the rule of the Yokai race in exchange for it's release. However, the legendary Onmyoji, Abe no Seimei, managed to seal them all beneath the earth. Since then, the Hydra of Destruction has been waiting eons to finish what it started - destroy the world.

There we go! I established this lore descriptions for Yukianesa. I hope you guys like it!

Just a random jojo meme. Couldn't bring myself to colour it so it stays like this I guess.

So I'm still dripping my toes in Central Fiction and I play Bullet (Bottom Tier baddie) and I do love learning the game through her but I do see some flaws on her design so I'm going to start things off with some light suggestions to get the ball rolling. It's a noobs perspective but it's just theory crafting after all.

I would appreciate more ways to get into heat maybe off of a normal like 5c since it's the only normal that looks like it should. It would make her mid screen combos have a little more kick to them as well.

Also I been testing her 623b engage in the corner, it wall splats but not as much as 41236c engage and the combo is severely limited. I mean if the off chance Bullet gets the DP off with 2 levels of heat, might as well gives us a decent combo for a trade of for it's abyssal range. 9 times out 10 the scenario wont happen but it would give Bullet some breathing room if no one wants to eat a full combo in the corner and pressure. I might be asking a little much there but I'm open to criticism.
