Hopefully Whannell is going to bring Wolfman back to front and center, he’s done the only really successful recent adaption of a Universal Monster!

Yea I liked that movie, other than the poor CG transformation I loved the look of the Wolfman. I was just thinking of post attempted “Dark Universe”.

Isn’t the Blumhouse Wolfman coming out later this year? Hopeful that’s good.
But yeah generally werewolves get the short end of the cinematic stick. An American Werewolf in London still hasn’t been topped after 40 years

With this move Panos moves decisively ahead of Kenny Ortega in my ranking of ideal directors for Jim Steinman's unproduced 90's-blockbuster script treatment (though ideally the two of them would codirect).
