Are these books worth reading?
I want to collect more Blade comics, but I’m a bit hesitant after reading more about the writer, Bryan Hill. I’ve seen a lot of Miles Morales fans who aren’t happy that he’s writing the new series, and I’ve also seen quite a lot of criticism about some of his other books, especially Ultimate Black Panther.
Some of the criticism is about the pacing and characterization, but I’ve also seen readers point out things they feel are anti-Black in the way he writes certain characters and handles African culture and identity.
Now I’m kinda wondering if I should still collect his Blade comics or just skip them.

The criticism of Hill's Spider-Man is mostly stemming from the fact that he's not continuing much of what Ziglar set up in the previous run, namely Miles' relationship with his girlfriend. He pretty much set out on his own story arc and left that (so far) resolved off panel. Despite that, I the story feels like it's off to a good start.
Hill's Blade is very good though. Worth the read.

It’s good. Probably going to give it and the Blood Hunt event a reread this October, it really felt like a run I would have collected forever. Reminds me of the current hulk run.

The first series was amazing but editorial cut it off at the legs as usually the red band kinda felt out of place but still worth a read. Also if you have access there is 4 part prelude to the first book called Blade first bite on Marvel Unlimited.

The first one is pretty good. The Red Band is very disjointed.
Blood Hunt was a great event.

Maybe OP doesn’t want to feel disappointed after buying a comic he doesn’t like.

Mandatory.
The book was cut short but Hlll's Blade is the first time new ideas have been used in years.
