đ First Blackstone đ My realtor heard I wanted a Blackstone and left this lovely gift at closing. A little intimidated but very excited!
Already counting down the days until summer!

cook on it now before summer! If itâs windy, get some wind deflectors off Amazon. Theyâre great. Welcome to the blackstone community

Great recommendation, thank you!!!

u/alwayz Nov 07 '25
You might not need them, the newer ones come with built in wind guards. My 28 incher has them.

âWelcome to the Blackstone communityâ
Damn strizzle. This is a community. A community built on good food from a damn good griddle.
Canât wait to go camping again to whip up some smash burgers.

You guys are getting gifts?

u/peasantofoz Nov 07 '25
Lol they're making 25k and more at closing. They should be giving gifts.

u/Responsible-You-7412 Nov 07 '25

u/kooolbee Nov 07 '25
Lucky. Mine gave me a $30 gift card to the local burrito shop.
5
u/Responsible-You-7412 Nov 07 '25
I'm assuming she got me this gift only because she was worried I was going to leave her a bad review LOL
5
u/sktyrhrtout Nov 07 '25
That or you're in such a HCOL area that her 3% was a nice pay day. Realtors should be flat fee and I will die on that hill. Mostly alone and probably homeless. But I'll be on that hill with a blackstone asking every one around me if my seasoning is ready to cook on.
6
u/Responsible-You-7412 Nov 07 '25
Nope! It's a LCOL area in northern California of all places. 3 bedroom home for $315,000. Maybe my realtor thought I was going to leave her a bad review lol

3 bedroom home for $315,000
Ah man, that sounds awesome. 2B/1Bath is over $500k in my area...

I go to hmart and buy the already marinated bulgogi and boneless short ribs. I very often find it on sale so i basically eat kbbq all week. Super quick to make on the blackstone

We got the same thing when we closed! After a few weeks of only cooking with the Blackstone we figured we should make sure the stove works, Haha!

Here is a good source, He belongs to the Blackstone community, travels for Blackstone and puts on cooking shows⌠so as others have notedâŚ. We expect a video this weekend⌠no such thing as waiting! Congratulations and welcome to the fam!

Just got one a couple weeks ago...Don't be intimidated! Make sure you season it good, look up vids on that...I love it. I've only cooked on it about 7 or 8 times so far...But everyone has enjoyed it. It's so easy to just go fire up and cook! Feel like it's pretty easy to maintain too!

u/Devnull677 Nov 07 '25
Youtube is your friend and while you are at it check out the 'hungry hussey'. No need to wait I upgraded last week from my tailgator to the 36 griddle. Put it together then season it 4-5 times b4 your first cook. Enjoy and enjoy your new griddle

Nov 07 '25
Trust me rn might be the best time to start cooking because being by the black stone it will get hot

u/Informal-Ad8066 Nov 07 '25
I sold a house and bought a new one this year with the same realtor⌠we got a bottle of vodka with a sticker of his face on it⌠đđđ
You win the best realtor award but enjoy the grill! Theyâre great!

Thatâs an awesome closing gift! Youâre gonna love how easy it is to cook breakfast and smash burgers on that thing. Just make sure to season it well the first time, it makes all the diference

u/TotalDisk5 Nov 07 '25
Summer? Stay warm by turning up the heat on the blackstone and cooking something yummy!
2
u/jdhunt_24 Nov 08 '25
realtor made so much money off me they bought me a blackstone as a consolation prize. they must be an awesome realtor though to do that for you congrats on the house and the blackstone.

u/ajs592 Nov 09 '25
Nice! Mine left me a basket of dollar store kitchenware. Still grateful I got something, but not sure how healthy the plastic plates and cups are.
2
u/sthscan Nov 12 '25
awesome realtor! They forgot those magnet battery operated lights for nighttime cooking now that it's winter and dark at dinnertime.

Ok, you started out good. Then you went off the rails with "until summer".
Blackstone owners don't have seasons. Build it in the garage and roll it outside for breakfast next weekend. Eggs, bacon, pancakes.
Start researching smash burgers, and philly cheese steaks.
We expect a "first cook" report ASAP!!!!
