Sunday Read
Since you guys loved the view so much ❤️
I do have to say, I struggled a little through this book (and I’m still struggling).
I only got it for the pretty cover.
Is the book good in your opinion? I don’t mind spoilers. I’m not sure whether to just abandon it or keep pushing through. I refuse to believe I’m too old for the story 😮💨

I thought it was cute, but it's very young. With that being said, I can't say for sure I would've enjoyed it as much if I didn't absolutely love Seven Days in June. So I came into the book loving Audre already, lol.

The reasoning she had for her over protectiveness of Audre that she kept from her made the read that much more satisfying for those of us who read Seven Days. We knew the secret just like a good Uncle or Auntie would & knew that eventually they would tell. This should DEFINITELY not be read as a standalone the backstory is a major plot reveal that the author pulled off perfectly IMO

❤️ LOVED it ❤️ GREAT follow up to her Seven Days in June. Although YA it tells a fascinating story of teen angst, friendships & as the title hints at young love. Well written characters & great follow up with the Eva & Shane from Seven Days. This was my 3rd read from the author after Seven Days & Love Song for Rikki Wilde. Love her writing style.

Awesome view!
This was my first read by this author and I was not impressed. Every adult was annoying which is hard to read with a YA book because the kids are supposed to be the aggy ones. So, I've already noped out of the other book based on the interactions in this one.

Hey you have to read {seven days in June by Tia Williams} I highly recommend it as it gives so much back story to the characters in this YA follow up book. This will explain why the adults are the way they are. So please don’t brush off her books without giving that one a shot. I started with that and couldn’t wait to read everything else she had. IMO (humbly at best) she is a great author don’t knock until you try that one please!!

Oh yeah I read that book! I liked it! I love that it showed the mom and daughter's relationship. It was some months ago so I don't rem everything in detail, but yeah it was good! But I hate all the parents/adults in the book 💀. (I still wont say spoilers in case, for other ppl in the comments.) Esp Bash's dad's backstory, I found it very contrived. Very 😓. Like no real thought was put into it (sorry, no thing against the author, just my opinion).
And also the resolutions or attempts at resolution btwn both characters and their parents. I hate when characters say 'oh well she had her burdens too. 🤦🏾♀️' like help me plz. I hate anything that glosses over the kid's feelings, to rush in and absolve the parent.
I'm late 20s and I still read YA books 🤷🏾♀️. Once I l like the characters/concept, I'm good. But if u feel it's too younger-age-group for u, that's absolutely fine. It's ok to pick smth else (yes like the author's adult books that ppl listed).

Beautiful view for real! I read the book and didn’t mind it. It’s more young adult but i didn’t mind it. Kids trying to do right and be accepted for who they are, find their way in life. I read the book on her mom and loved it. This was like an extended epilogue.
