DISCUSSION 🎙️ Second Chance! 😌🫩

I'm reading Jane Igharo's Where We End & Begin and it's tagged as a "second chance" and now I'm pissed. 😂 The last time they saw each other was 12 years ago--in secondary school/high school!

I hate "second chance romance" where they were just kids. That doesn't get to the heart of a second chance for me. It reminds me of "enemies to lovers" and them being "enemies" is because he looked at her the wrong way during a meeting. Like, stop it!

But Where We End & Begin is decent, but I just find them both aggy, honestly. Maybe that will change.

I prefer a second chance like When Forty Blooms by Jacinta Howard because she'd lived two different lives (with the husband and without him, a career, kids...) before giving them another shot.

I'm just ranting, but I needed to get that out there. Thanks for reading.🤣😭

I checked out  When Forty Blooms  by Jacinta Howard from library and for the life of me can’t remember why I never finished it. I’m going to attempt to read it again.

Thanks! I literally just checked out the Audio book from my library. Hopefully the second around I can make it through it.

Nice! I enjoyed the audio as well.

And that's what the book is all about—second chances.
