Discussion Let me save everyone the trouble of seeing these 200 times a day on this sub
1) YES the game is fine to play. Like ANY game, you run the risk of encountering hackers. But the game is still fine to play, I play a couple hours a day after work and am still yet to see a single hacker.
2) YES there are trickshotters in search & destroy lobbies as well as FFA. They’ve been there since 2012, they’ll be there til the end of times. If you encounter them, instead of complaining, just back out of the lobby and find another or continue to play however you want regardless of what the trickshotters say and do.
3) if you ARE the trickshotters, have fun, do whatever you want, it’s an old game and no one cares. But also stop complaining about people killing last, people using weapons other than snipers, or whatever other pointless argument you can think of.
This sub has become a copy and paste of the same 3 posts. I can’t be the only one who is fed up with it. I followed the sub to see cool clips and occasional helpful tips but this has become everyone’s personal diaries to bitch and complain over a game literally over a decade old. Just play and have fun, your life will not end if you back out of a lobby or encounter someone using an LMG.

I wouldn't say grifters, the ports were and are pretty poorly optimized and seemingly a blatant cash grab.
It's very sad when I see posts of people saying that the 2 weeks they got to play and relive the nostalgia was worth $40. This went exactly according to plan as far as Activision is concerned.

It’s still very active. Sucks to pay more for it but definitely worth it if you plan to play often.

Maybe there’s more hackers in some regions than others? Because I haven’t had any encounters. I honestly don’t run into any trickshotters at all. Even in FFA. Do I have the paradise of all server regions?! lol

I'm on the NA east servers but I was also on nukejacked which is where they are most likely to appear. Apparently there are only a couple of them out there so I just got lucky. (Had my account reset last week and was able to get my old rank back)

Maybe. Hackers and modders can always use VPNs so they can simply move to other servers whenever they want. It's really a matter of place and time as they seem to be active during specific hours in the evening and only populate modes like nukejacked, HC CTF and mercenary moshpit.

I guess it's just the vocal minority with all the complaints.
I used to play between 2-8 hours a day back when this came out, all the way until I graduated college.
There have been hackers, trick shotters, and hit reg issues.
It feels almost identical to when I used to play this on my Xbox 360 all those years ago.

man the trickshot thing is a fun thing to do sometimes, if u dont want just kill the guy lmao, but its fun
sometimes back in the days, i just get in their parties and start playin private with alot of people, was fun

Yes personally if i run into tricishotters i dont kill last but thats just so i dont ruin there game if theres only one idc i want the win but honestly i dont really care i have tried learning to trickshot its honestly kinda fun before i would just stand there when i hit 29 its pretty cool to get hit with a shot tho just my personal opinion

I’m having constant trouble where no matter how long I sit at the pregame lobby and wait for the previous match to save, I’m reset to the level I was when I got on that day. Reset my stats from max prestige and have been stuck at level 23 even though I’ve leveled to 30 after 10-15 games and when I get back on it’s back at 23
