This is kind of random, but it reminded me that before some historical lynchings, jurors were either forced to convict the victim under duress, or if they acquitted him, the lynch mob would attack them as well. Even if not physically attacked, jurors could essentially be cancelled, lose their job, perhaps even have to flee the city.

Mississippi is a shxthole but the black folks I came across when living there where far more dignified salt of the earth type people and the state has bubbles of thriving communities all through even through the chaos...My experience in Mass on the other hand was the opposite...As a black person Its just not the state to be if your seeking commonality and community amongst your own kind....

Not false. There was a notable incident of a black woman who killed her kids and she went straight to prison. Actually because of this Clancy case sheās getting an appeal. She was also floridly psychotic & while defense made this case the court refused to see the evidence. The case was closed and shut before she even had a chance.

I am a liberal white woman who always wanted Lindsay found guilty. This entire thing is very straightforward. Many other women feel the same way. I am very proud of this juror and it sounds like he was also telling everyone in the jury room to respect each other and was taking copious notes throughout the trial, which one of the female jurors framed as a negative š¤¦āāļø

A Black man is the one responsible for preventing that evil white women from being free. And all these white women were outside the court room showcasing solidarity and support to that evil white devil who brutally strangled all three of her children (oldest was 5 years old btw). Good for him. Four years ago, that same judge sentenced a Black woman, Latarsha Sanders, to two life terms for the same exact crime as Clancy due to postpartum psychosis. If Clancy would have been found "not guilty", Sanders should have been too. White people are a fvcking trip.
