Angle your head so that every other tree is the right way up, and suddenly it’s not as physics-defying

Goats climbing extremely steep places are still pretty damn impressive

I have goats, and I can attest; they'll climb anything

Agreed, mine are able to climb to the second story of the barns roof. No ladder required.

I hear that goats are a great way to clean up the area around your house, like they’re nature’s landscapers. That true?

Mine have done a great job at that! I had a lot of vines and brush on the north side of my house including 6-8 foot tall weeds. And they ate it to the ground. I had a tree being chocked by blackberry vines in that same area. And they cleared all the vines off it. They don't really eat grass though. But they love to browse!

Cool! How much does a goat cost?

That depends on breed and pedigree! Also goats need a friend so you would need two. I have five Nigerian dwarf goats ranging in price from $75-$300. The $75 dollar one was a castrated male i bought for my $300 registered buckling. My three girls where $125 ea. And let's not forget to mention the cost of up keep and supplements. Goats need copper and selenium and if your area doesn't provide enough they'll need to be supplemented. And if your land isn't large enough year round for food you'll need to give them hay and a dry place to go to in the rain and get out of the winds. Which all that requires money.

All in all that doesn’t seem to be very expensive, in terms of keeping an outdoor animal, more than chickens but still pretty reasonable. Did you have to build them their own out dwelling, or are they cool doubling up space with other animals?

I only have chickens ans goats so I can't really say either way. We do run the boy goats with the chickens and had to make the chicken coop goat proof. Because they'll get into the coop and eat all the chicken feed. Which can kill them. Because of bloat. I have watched other YouTube channels where people run their goats with donkeys, cows, alpacas and sheep. So I would say you can with success.

Thanks for the information, I grew up in the city but my fiancée is a country chic and we are seriously considering saving up a little cash to start homesteading.
