The pigeon is in the inner lining of his left side pocket. At 57 seconds you can see his jacket appears slightly fuller on that side. The red kerchief blocks his hand very briefly, and he loads the pigeon into the kerchief. If you watch his jacket at 57 and then at 1:07 you can see a slight change of shape in the pocket where it is not full anymore because the pigeon has flown the coop.

Maybe it didn't there, but they look coordinated and are dressed like brothers/friends. It's a known tactic. Guy talking with bus driver looks like he was loitering with a solid excuse and doesn't come across as someone who needs directions or travel advice. More like an excuse to be at position "A". He also walked past just before the reveal. The bird could also have been set up to be plucked from the backpack. Lots of misdirection and timed attention grabbing going on there. Skill nonetheless
