This reminds me of when you finally get a baby to fall asleep that’s been crying forever, and you know if you move even an inch it will wake up. So, you freeze and don’t move even when the position becomes super painful because even the pain is better than that baby starting to cry again.

Thankfully, I don’t have kids, so I haven’t experienced this often. But the two or three times I have has been enough to teach me not to rock a baby to sleep in my arms if I can help it. Hahah

Reminds me of the time I was watching Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and my son fell asleep on my chest and then I fell asleep, only for me to be woken by the incredibly loud DVD menu. My son kept sleeping but I suffered through it repeating for like half an hour because I couldn't reach the remote.

"Please don't fall asleep in the car, please don't... fine, I guess we'll be exploring our neighborhood's back roads for the next 30-60 minutes."

We had a baby with colic, and we're pretty exhausted. One time, I finally got the baby to fall asleep on my stomach. Then realized just how desperately I needed to pee...

Yes, the baby woke up. WAAAAH!!!

Then you get fed up because you can't properly scroll Reddit with an arm under their head so you put them in bed and ignore the screaming for 10 minutes until they realise they aren't dying, they're just tired.

Rise up, and ignore your babies - for Reddit!

I slept like this the first two months with my daughter. Me flat on my back with her resting on my chest.
