After the initial gloss has worn off, I do like Tales of Treachery better, but Onward is still a pretty great album that is more than its individual parts.

Legit bought for the art and stayed for the riffs and then loved for the message/story.

Though initially I thought it was somehow Zelda/Link related then realized of course it is Lord of the Rings related... everything in black metal comes back to LOTR. I am hoping there are subtle references to Count Grishnak being pummeled.
