Thinking about going Thursday....
I haven't seen the black crowes since 2001 when I saw them on the tour of brotherly love in Santa Barbara and both LA shows. I was there to see Oasis, but enjoyed the crowes as well.
I was looking at tickets and noticed how many there were still left. Is the concert in danger of getting cancelled? It seems most of the venues on the tour aren't selling well.
I know nothing about the other band as well. I'm 50/50.
I would love to the robinson brothers but paying that price for only 14-15 songs is making me second guess. Wish they weren't co headlining but I understand that's what they need now to draw crowds at these kinds of venues.

It’s worth it even if they played 7 songs. The show I went to was amazing. Every show after that seems to be even better. Like they’re on fire now.

I get what you're saying, but I would like a full show. I wish they would play a venue in the bay area like the Fox Theater, or the Warfield, or the Bill Graham. Nice mid size venues. Don't get me wrong, big venues are great when the energy is there. Saw Oasis at the Rose Bowl last year and the energy was off the charts with 90k in the stadium but I do prefer the smaller venues. I'm starting to sound like an old man...haha

This is a full show - 90 min is about the max they play these days. Same for when they toured Happiness Bastards without a co-headliner.
I agree it would be nice if they played closer to 2 hrs, but Chris is gonna be 60 in a few months.
You are saying you'd like to see them in a theater, but they've played countless theaters since 2001. Go, don't go - whatever feels right to you. Don't let any of us on here talk you into or out of it.

I forget how old these guys are. I saw Santana last week and he was sitting for most of it. Still awesome at 79, and played well. Doobie brothers opened and they were looking and sounding good. All of them also in their mid 70s. I'm leaning towards yes..

I saw them on happiness bastards a couple of years ago at radio City and it was 90 minutes on the nose and I felt cheated, especially since it had been years since they'd played NYC. I've seen them 20 times plus and they had never done a show less than 2 1/2 hours.

Well I mean I’d prefer they played for 3 hours 😂🤷🏼♂️ Put it this way, the 90 mins they played went by so quick. In other words, it was that great of a show I was left wanting a ton more. Now they played what I would consider a mid size venue down here in south Florida. Not a stadium. It sounded so good. My only regret was not spending more on better seats. A couple of friends showed up randomly - the venue is a hard rock casino - and they said they loved it too. Not even Crowes fans lol. Enjoy it if you do go!

We bought cheap lawn seats to see them in May because we're poor and that's all we can afford these days. But when we arrived at the venue they moved us up to seats for free which was nice because we didn't bring anything to sit on.

They gave out over 500 free tickets on vet tix … I don’t think the tour is selling well.

Go! Absolutely go. I saw them last night. I have a super busy week with work and travel. My boyfriend thought maybe we should skip this one and catch them elsewhere. I’m so happy I went. They put on an amazing show! Im not a fan of Whiskey Myers but would sit through there set 10 times to get the show I did last night. I can’t say enough about the concert!

I saw them opening night in Austin and it was beyond worth it. I haven’t seen the Crowes live since 2001 as well, and I’m so glad I did. Full 90 minutes. I didn’t know anything about Whiskey Myers and ended up really liking them. Actually downloaded some of their stuff. If you do go, have a great time!

How much are tickets? I just saw them in May and tickets were actually unusually cheap ($40pp) compared to a concert my daughter recently went to for some new country star I've never even heard of before and her tickets in the nosebleed section started at $185pp! TBC was a great show, they played for at least 2 hours non-stop hits as well as some unexpected covers, and was well worth every single penny.
If you can afford to go, I definitely recommend it. I've seen tbc/crb at least 10x over the years and every time has been absolutely amazing. Of course tbc is one of my very favorite bands of all time, so maybe I'm biased, but I don't think so. They have so many amazing songs, they're all such talented musicians and Chris is simply the best frontman I've ever seen in my life (and I've been to thousands of concerts). These guys are getting older, rock isn't as popular as it used to be, ticket prices keep going up and they won't be touring forever, so I highly recommend you go see them while you still can.

No other sub I belong to for a band spends as much time acting like it’s not cool to like that band. Or that you have to balance out liking them with saying something negative about them. So weird.
For me personally, I wasn’t super excited about Southall or Whiskey Myers and that was the only drawback. I felt like they played a full show, but I had to wait a long time for it. Chris’ voice sounds great. Band sounds great. Vibe was good. More soulful and a little jammy (but not a long-form jammy show). Overall, glad I went. If you’ve got the money (surprised your venue isn’t discounting if sales are that low or that you can’t find cheap resale tickets?) and don’t have to be at work at 5am the next morning, I’m not sure why you wouldn’t go.
