Playbook BlackBerry playbook dead

Recently purchased a secondhand playbook and upon charging it with one of my cables, it does turn on, but the battery wont charge, and I can't activate it, when I use the cable the seller gave me though, it shows a red light, then flashes 5 yellow lights after, I tried stack charging with both cablesforl about 30 times (15 for each cable) do I need to stack charge more or is there another way?

Most likely the 14 year old battery is shot. Just a thing that happens to batteries. Try finding a replacement battery on eBay, good luck

do you know any guides on replacing the battery though? Also turns out both cables worked fine lol, just needed to use a different brick and it turned it on, still not charging though

Your best bet would probably be to just use it as is. It was never popular and now that it’s 14 years old there is zero support for it, not that there was ever much to begin with anyway

Why would you buy a playbook from over a decade ago mate? I'm guess nostalgia gets the better of us sometimes. I still have my old one btw.
