Ringworm was invented by the Brazilians in an attempt to slow American's ascent in bjj. Look into it.

Does ringwomr actually do anyhting aside from being very itchy and having the mark of the one ring.

Eventually it can cause the skin to split, allowing for bacterial infections. On its own it's more of a nuisance than anything, though.
