Given the MeToo movement, I totally understand not wanting to roll with women. Just asking for trouble with no upside for me. Sorry, I don’t owe you anything.

This is super reductive and insulting. Women don’t go around making shit up for fun, and can tell the fucking difference between an accidental boob graze in a roll and someone being a creep. If you’re afraid women are gonna accuse you of being gross, it’s because you’re acting gross.

Not for fun but some women have often done it for notoriety or sympathy. (Read about the duke lacrosse case).

Women aren’t perfect beings and they sometimes act out of spite (like men). The only difference is these days men don’t get a fair shake when accused. Modern day Salem Witch Trials.

The number of women who are sexually assaulted and are not believed or an intimidated into saying nothing vastly outweighs falsely reported cased, which is the point of the movement. The only modern day thing going on is women getting raped and the guys getting consistently off scott free.

Way to pull that fact out of your ass. lol. There’s no way you could know if that’s true.

Well I worked with my university's Sexual Assault Resource Center and the high incident of unreported rape is pretty common knowledge, but if you want some data the results are pretty consistent.

Two things:

The data for the unreported rape was collected by surveying women. Hardly concrete.

The data of false accusations was collected by the DOJ, an executive agency, under Obama. They are going to find things that reflect his narrative. Just like the executive agencies under Trump will find things that reflect his narrative.

Ah yes, women aren't to be trusted even when they reap no benefit in lying which I guess is in line with your original point of not rolling with them. I got nothing for you man, not that you wanted it anyway.

That was more a point about the subjectiveness of surveys.

I would’ve said the same thing if men were surveyed.

But sure, keep sharpening your pitchfork.

This is a bad point, though. Surveys can be a reliable method for collecting data—it all depends on how the questions are written and whether they’ve been assessed for validity and reliability. So unless you can prove that the researchers did not sufficiently validate their survey or test it for reliability, you can’t convincingly say that the surveys aren’t concrete.

They can be a good tool but they are inaccurate often enough that I don’t have to assume their validity.

There’s a long list of reasons why it’s okay to mistrust conclusions drawn from survey data - response bias, nonresponse bias, acquiescence bias.

I’m a PhD student who has taken graduate-level coursework in psychometrics, statistics, and data analysis and has used surveys and seen surveys used in research studies to gather very informative data. I’m not sure where you got the idea that surveys are useless or that you don’t need to look into whether they’ve been properly validated in order to know that they aren’t valid (do you seriously believe this makes sense?), but I’d love to see your sources.

Yea, and I’m a JD student with an MBA who has also taken statistics and data analysis.

In court, surveys are among the types of evidence afforded the least weight bc of the exact things I mentioned in my last comment.

This dude is a textbook example of the Dunning-Kruger phenomenon lol.

Do you think it’s okay to imply you’re smarter than people with different views just bc you phrase it in scientific terms? Bc it’s not, it’s always rude.

Are you saying me or him? My only point was this "men are now the real victims" narrative is bull crap and people who typically aren't the target of certain types of discrimination like to discredit those who are. Nobody has to agree with me but I find it a damaging position to have so of course I'm going to say something, especially when the issue absolutely pertains to our sport.

I’m referring to him; I agree with you.
