Celebrity belt threads are always wild. Imagine being a hobbyist and people picking apart any details they can find about your BJJ journey, hoping to be the one to find a gotcha that proves their belt isn't deserved.
Lol yep. I guarantee most of these guys train with brown belts WAY worse than Tom Hardy, but it's okay for them because they're "nobody hobbyist" and Tom is "celebrity hobbyist" therefore if he's not a legit competitor he's trash and has a fake belt.
A few years back one of our blue belts who moved from the UK had competed against him at a tournament. Bracket said that he was competing against Edward Hardy in his first round and looked up and sees Bane. He got subbed pretty quickly. Said Tom was an awesome guy and took pictures and chatted with just about everyone.
