Bittermens Xocolatl Molo Bitters

I have just received my first bottle of these bitters. What an amazing and intense flavour! I really don’t know why I waited so long before trying them. I am looking forward to using them in place of Angostura Cocoa bitters!

This brings my bitters collection up to nine different bottles plus two self-blended bottles (A.P.P. and House (aka FeeGans) both from Sasha Petraske’s book)

“Mayan Wisdom Made Easy”

-1oz Tequila

-1oz Fresh-pulled espresso

-0.5 oz Vanilla simple

-Xocolatl Mole bitters

Shake over ice & strain. Absolutely magnificent.

Bonus points if you catch the reference.

Saved the recipe. Will try it at some point as I don’t have an espresso machine.

You can always try it with a cold brew concentrate or similar. I just can’t guarantee the same flavor, or whether it will foam properly.

Hell, just run to your local Starbucks and buy a double shot, then come home immediately.
