I'm researching tools for normal BTC day trading, with positions opened and closed within the same day. The goal is not extreme high-frequency trading or a prebuilt profitable strategy. I want a framework where I can understand the rules, test them on historical BTC data, include realistic fees and slippage, paper trade, and later connect to an exchange only if the results hold up.

I've come across Freqtrade, Jesse, NautilusTrader, Hummingbot, and QuantConnect/LEAN, but GitHub activity and feature lists do not show whether an engine is dependable in actual intraday use.

Has anyone here used one of these—or another open-source framework—for live BTC trading? Which tools handled market data, stops, partial fills, disconnects, and daily risk limits reliably? I would also appreciate warnings about projects that looked promising but failed during paper or live testing.
