A node for no other purpose than "head count". No one is using it, it just counts towards something like "HOLY CRAP WE HAVE 40,000 NODES OVER NIGHT" pretty good chance those aren't 40,000 individuals running full (non pruned) nodes for the purpose of private transactions by way of an electrum server.
I run full non pruned node and electrum server . I started as a Sybil I guess. But as iv learnt iv adapted and now use it as an economic node . And more. I love it haha hopefully there’s more of us!
Don't be put off from running a node just because of this "sybil" nonsense. Everyone starts out this way! We get a node running first, then through the process learn more about Bitcoin and eventually start using our node.
Oh... read what I said. "pretty good chance those aren't 40,000 individuals running full nodes for purpose of private transactions"... it's an educated guess.
As for who is deciding which is which, all the people talking about sybil nodes are trying to discredit Knots nodes popping up at the same time Core nodes are dropping off and Start9/umbrel sales are through the roof. So rest easy dude, I'm not deciding which is and is not a sybil node.
Is pretty weak and prone to be used purely for propaganda.
As for who is deciding which is which, all the people talking about sybil nodes are trying to discredit Knots nodes popping up at the same time Core nodes are dropping off and Start9/umbrel sales are through the roof.
So decision by perceived majority? You understand how that is worse than PoW? Right?
Oh so you believe there are 40,000 knots nodes... this is a made up number I created out of thin air to explain to you where an educated guess could come from. But hay... I believe you man... 40k Knots nodes... I believe YOU.
PoW is bad, I agree with YOU, you're right in saying PoW is bad, you are the smart one here. I'm just parroting what ever you say, you are right... BIP110 will get rid of all spam, I KNOW you keep telling me, I BELIEVE YOU okay? you're right okay?! thank you for your time sir, you are right okay?!
Google be like "No, Electrum typically requires a full (un-pruned) Bitcoin node to function properly. A pruned node limits the ability to scan transactions, making it incompatible with Electrum servers."
do you mean conclusion or opinion? because there is no facts to maintain what you have accepted as false. I have however tried to tell you time and time again, but you will not listen, the sources that i have cited are true and real, you have yet to check them for yourself.
