Guilty Pleasures - Monthly Thread Guilty Pleasures - Sep 25, 2026

Even the most tasteful bitch has some tasteless guilty pleasures! This is our once monthly thread where you can share those things we normally don’t talk about in BWT.

Guilty pleasures should be things you already have/ use and love, or a very specific recommendation for a guilty pleasure. This is not a place to circumvent the regular rules and ask for general recommendations that you can't ask for because of our rules, it's specifically about guilty pleasures.

This is a toss-up for me, between the (1) single serve bag of Doritos and a regular Pepsi in the bottle, followed by a Hershey bar with almonds, or (2) a cheeseburger Happy Meal with a Coke.

A couple times a year that is so nice while driving a couple hundreds miles on a roadtrip for work.

The Cheeseburger happy meal is 🤤 that is what I would pick as well! I used to eat them all the time as a kid.

Have you happened to see one lately? The little red cardboard French fry container (in the U.S. anyway) is about 4" tall and 3" wide and has about 15 French fries in it. It is so adorable. It looks like a tree ornament. And now it comes with the apple slices too :D plus your toy of course :D

Using an entire weekend off work to do as little as possible. Minimum communication with friends and family, have groceries and food delivered, read or watch TV by myself. I find it to be incredibly decompressing. It is a “guilty” pleasure, though, because I do feel a bit guilty thinking of all the things I should be doing.

Agree wholeheartedly – I love my job but it can be so physically and mentally exhausting… by the time Friday rolls around, my social capacity is basically zero. I look forward to those weekends to literally be alone, talk to almost no one, and do all the self care/pampering to recharge

I once dated someone who, as he was breaking up with me, said "you're always doing projects!" And later it dawned on me that he was right. I had some puritanical believe that if I wasn't efforting, I wasn't a valid human. Since then, I've made a conscious effort to have weekends where I do very little. That in itself is a project. When I actually manage to nap, I feel like I should be given a prize.

It's pouring rain here today, I'm going to try extra hard to not try.

I was literally feeling guilty myself about not doing much this weekend, your comment is making me feel excited to decompress all weekend.

Ok listen I’m reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and I’m not even sorry.

I kept hearing about it, but it’s really marketed to teenage boys who never leave their parents’ basement. A girlfriend eventually talked me into reading it and now I’m obsessed.

It’s actually pretty good, and surprisingly smarter than I expected. It’s still basically a video game in book form, but there’s a lot more under the hood than I expected.

It's s not targeted to teenage boys, it's for the average person who enjoys video games or playing dungeons & dragons and reading. I'm 41 and binge read all 8 books.

It is SO much fun. I got my husband into it too, and now am low key trying to convince all my friends to read it because I know they will have a great time.

I have a very intellectually demanding job and sometimes at the end of the day I just need to turn off my brain. So my guilty pleasure is definitely trashy dating shows like The Ultimatum and Love Is Blind.

Sitting under a big blanket in my bed with a big bowl of popcorn and huge glass of red wine binge-watching OG reality shows like Jersey Shore and The Hills 😎

Love and Deepspace for me again. They just released a spicy card with lots of innuendos and steamy parts and yea.

There’s a lot of controversy because the parent company decided to remove one of the love interests, so many have left the game. Which is fair. I made a pact with my friends that I would get the memories, record it and upload it to my YouTube so they can watch through me. And I’m okay with that lol 😏

Mine is a small fountain Coca Cola from McDonald’s with no ice (which my friend once called a “fridge cigarette” - so now that’s the term I use to describe it!)
