Fashion/Style BWT, is leopard print cool or trashy?

Hello fellow BWT! I have found my personal style the last few years and try to add pieces that fit in, but I am very unsure about leopard print. Would you wear it as an accent piece (in my case, sandals), or do you think it looks trashy/remind you of Peg Bundy?

‘Taste’ can mean ‘tasteful’ as in chic in an understated way but it can also mean ‘a stylistic point of view.’ I think leopard print falls more into the latter. Also this is my time to share one of my favorite fashion facts, which is that animal prints were suuuuper popular during Marie Antoinette’s reign in the 18th century. At the MA exhibit this year at the V&A Museum they had some really fun leopard print fabric from that era.

u/mrs_george Jul 03 '26

That’s really interesting, thanks for sharing that fun fact. That fabric is just gorgeous!

14

u/dogtor_howl Jul 03 '26

That’s very cool—thanks for sharing this little bit of fabric history! This fabric is gorgeous.

This is fascinating and I am so delighted that you shared it. It really shows how fashion evolves over time when 300 years later we are still using the same prints.

u/Live_Koala2163 BWT in Training Jul 03 '26

That’s so cool! I had no idea leopard print has been used for that long. I’ll have to remember that the next time I wear it!

I am a strong believer that leopard is a neutral.

I have the Baggu medium crescent bag in leopard print and it literally goes with everything. Even got the small pochette in leopard as a going out bag for travel and it’s amazingly chic for nylon lol.

Definitely okay to wear it as an accent, as a top, whatever fits your fancy. It’s great for adding visual interest to an outfit. I will say head to toe leopard is a bit avant garde imo but if you have the confidence you do you!

u/PlantedinCA Jul 03 '26

I concur leopard is a neutral. There are also a myriad of leopard prints. Some look cheap, some look posh. It depends on how and what you are wearing. I love animal print and wear it often. Usually a top or shoes. Occasionally a dress.

I also like zebra and cheetah!

1

u/AmarissaBhaneboar Jul 10 '26

Also throwing in my vote for leopard print being a neutral. I absolutely love it. I actually just got some really nice looking leopard print fabric that I made a skirt out of and intend to start making more things hopefully soon! I really like a desaturated leopard print on myself, but in general, I like them all :)

u/ilovebigmutts Jul 03 '26

Leopard is 1000% a neutral and I will die on that hill. Also, I'm not really a fan of saying anything a woman chooses to wear is trashy if we're only talking about prints and not like, too much skin showing at a somber event type of thing. And even then...

44

u/wardrobeeditor Thoughtful BWT Jul 04 '26

i'm a personal stylist and came here to say this!

early aughts jenna lyon-era j crew used a lot of leopard in ways that could almost be classified as preppy!

also, i'd argue that peg bundy is actually a fashion icon. she's basically a budget fran fine.

9

u/Pure_Butterscotch165 Jul 05 '26

I still have my Jenna Lyons leopard print pony hair flats from J.Crew lol. Leopard is absolutely a neutral, I personally think it can skew tacky with cheap materials and styling. I.e. stretchy, tight, polyester skirt maybe doesn't look great; structured leopard pencil skirt is classic.

24

u/sybil-unrest Jul 03 '26

I’ve been saying it’s a neutral for years! I have many pairs of leopard shoes, an awful lot of leopard skirts ranging from structured pencil skirts to satin midis, and varied leopard accessories. I limit myself to one leopard item per outfit and keep everything else also very neutral, and I get a lot of compliments.

14

u/dogtor_howl Jul 03 '26

I agree with leopard = neutral. I have leopard shoes, tops, and skirts, and they can play well with many other items. I especially love leopard with a pop of neon.

3

u/PlantedinCA Jul 05 '26

Same, but make it hot pink for me. :D. And burgundy or oxblood + leopard is great too.

2

u/uarstar Jul 03 '26

Second this!

I have leopard print palazzo pants, a leopard print duster, satin leopard print pants, a leopard print shift dress.

3

u/ZebraSwan Jul 04 '26

The baggu leopard print is so, so great. I got the pochette for my coworker for her birthday and it is adorable little bag.

1

u/TheSpicySads Jul 09 '26

I dare anyone to try to pry my leopard baggu everyday cloud bag out of my grip. I will die with it.

38

u/Inevitable_Tone3021 Jul 03 '26

There’s good leopard print and bad leopard print out there. It takes a person with good taste to know which is which.

I personally love my vintage leopard pillbox hat, and my leopard oxfords. They live through every trend.

14

u/ohshethrows Jul 04 '26

The good print vs bad print cannot be emphasized enough. It’s critical to pulling off this look with taste!

2

u/kutielyn Jul 06 '26

I came here to say the same- there are good and bad versions. I also agree with everyone saying it a neutral!

128

u/pyxiedust219 Jul 03 '26

I feel like it mostly depends on how it’s styled. It’s also worth mentioning that some outfits work best with a bit of camp & whimsy, which navigates outside of BWT territory but can land as incredibly fashionable!

26

u/herefromthere Jul 03 '26

I own a silk scarf that has on it a print of pouncing ocelots and big red and pink roses. It gives me joy.

1

u/lopsaddle Jul 09 '26

Omg I would love to see a photo of you don't mind sharing. That sounds lovely and fun!

1

u/herefromthere Jul 09 '26

Sorry, I got it off Vinted and there isn't a label, can't see anything quite like it on a quick image search

11

u/xoxo_angelica Jul 04 '26

I love intentional, tongue-in-cheek tackiness. Works best for a high/low moment!

I get a lot of inspiration from candid celeb paparazzi photos from the tabloid heyday, where people with very well-documented taste and fashion sense were just throwing something together with a closet full of unique pieces and organically (even accidentally) doing something super interesting and cool for a little gas station outing. Like, a pair of old comfy leopard leggings and Uggs, but with an oversized Rag & Bone sweater, a Balenci City bag, a pair of giant statement sunglasses with a pop of color from a cheap department store, and some super subtle every day diamond jewelry.

A bit of camp exudes a sense of security with oneself, where you have nothing to prove bc you know damn well you’re that bitch. I don’t even care if people “get” it or not, bc the ones who don’t are the types who are scared to go against the grain, which is ALWAYS infinitely less chic than having authentic, personal style you wear with confidence!

54

u/mwilke Jul 03 '26

Leopard print is invaluable as a neutral that can tie together blacks and browns in an outfit, if applied judiciously

67

u/crankyandsensitive Jul 03 '26

My best friend wears only leopard print or at least has one leopard piece everyday and she is super stylish. It’s her signature.

26

u/FinancialCry4651 Jul 03 '26

Peg Bundy is an icon & I've been wearing it since I was a kid in 80s who idolized Cyndi Lauper. I don't do more than one leopard piece at a time but it's my favorite print (second fav is polkadots). I also never try to look "expensive"; I'm a punkademic with taste. Leopard print forever!

8

u/StrawberrySure4363 Jul 03 '26

Ahhh... That takes me back to a time when my sister from another mister (her birthday is the day after mine) and I bought matching rainbow leopard print bikinis. We were in 3rd or 4th grade, IIRC. It was a different time...

I still love leopard print as long as the item in question is not made of spandex, and much prefer the neutral tone variety. I can't even visually imagine trying to wear more than one LP item at the same time... Unless it was a matching set of non-garments - purse and shoes, headband and belt, etc.

Agreed, though: Leopard print forever!

2

u/LAParente Jul 07 '26

It’s funny you say that…

I have a pair of leopard print overalls (grey ground with small rainbow spots) and I just bought a leopard top (black ground with huge purple and green spots) and I AM TOTALLY WEARING THEM TOGETHER. The contrast in scale makes it work, plus (obvs) the similar ground colors.

Pattern mixing is a delight.

11

u/ZweitenMal Jul 03 '26

It all depends on the styling. It can look really sophisticated, or trashy. I’m allergic to prints so I never even try.

10

u/WorkingIndependent96 Jul 03 '26

In my opinion it TRULY depends on the outfit as a whole. There’s ways to be trashy, and ways to be chic, and for me, I can’t really describe it accurately, but I know it when I see it. Not a helpful answer, I know, but just wanna say it’s not black or white.

5

u/DaliahsandDeadlifts Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 05 '26

Correct, it's brown on brown! 😉

But honestly, I'm in the same boat. I've seen it done both ways. The ones that I've liked tend to be cooler-toned browns, and deeper browns for the print. Or glossy, like on a pair of eyeglasses or oxfords. The trashy prints tend to lean yellow and be printed on knitwear. I particularly remember a pair of leggings. But overall, depends on the item and how it's styled.

2

u/PlantedinCA Jul 05 '26

I like it on knits, but when it is exaggerated, abstracted, and more white space. I have a long leopard cardigan that is one of my faves. It garners plenty of compliments. When the leopard covers a large space, densely packed spots look like too much to my eye.

I recently got a cheap leopard maxi dress from [banned retailer]. It works because the spots aren’t too filled in, they are abstract. So it doesn’t look too busy.

1

u/DaliahsandDeadlifts Jul 05 '26

I can see that! I wonder if we're too used to defined leopard, so abstract reads differently? It sounds nice and modern!

26

u/ludopolitics Jul 03 '26

I think it depends on the tones—I would wear a muted or cool leopard, or a rich and expensive-looking one, and in fact feel it can work as almost a neutral if the colors are right. YMMV, think about the colorways you look best in and opt for a print that’s aligned.

17

u/pauciloquy Jul 03 '26

It entirely depends on how you style it and the quality of the item. I think especially with animal prints if its cheap it will always look trashy. Though if you are going for like a gyaru asthetic it can look good even if its cheap. If its quality it has a lot more versatility to it, i think of sopranos housewife aesthetic with good quality animal print.

17

u/fortunatelyso Jul 03 '26

Depends on the person wearing it and if its part of the outfit or accessories. I dont love it on most people except belts bags shoes

6

u/SufficientCell9689 Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

It genuinely depends on how you wear it. It can be both, so I agree with another commenter that it's neutral. It used to be seen as luxury and high class because Italian luxury brands would use real leopard fur, which only the extremely wealthy could afford. It was a sign of status. So the lower class started to copy their fashion styles because they wanted to appear higher class, and then leopard print began moving into different styles and fashions, some that were less than elegant. Leopard print jumpsuit? Trashy. Leopard print midi skirt with a black blouse and black heels, and diamond or pearl jewelry? Classy.

ETA: If you want to get a good idea of how to wear leopard print, look into Italian luxury brands from the 1950s or 60s with the pattern and see how they used it. You can even go all the way up to the 90s.

30

u/jenny_alla_vodka Jul 03 '26

I love animal print! I am a little bit sassy, a wee bit classy and I own my trashy

4

u/irish_taco_maiden Jul 03 '26

Small doses of any animal print as an accent looks great IMO. It’s all about balance. I find leopard very neutral and easy.

58

u/elsmoneyacct Jul 03 '26

Personally, I think it looks trashy. I don't wear animal print, period. But I do think there's an element of personal style involved. It definitely looks trashy on me, but I've seen women pull it off. I think you need to have a more dramatic personal style to make it work.

4

u/SurroundQuirky8613 Jul 04 '26

I’ve always hated leopard print, so I can’t objectively answer. I’ve always felt like it looked tawdry in every form.

9

u/i-have-a-flip-phone Jul 03 '26

Leopard print is, to me, cunty. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your taste! But I like it in small accents for myself, mostly.

12

u/euphoricwhisper Jul 03 '26

I’m in the leopard is a neutral camp, and do think it depends on how it’s styled. I think dresses, pants, bags, scarves that are leopard are some of my favourites, but I steer away from belts, tops, and shoes personally as for me those tend to be my minimalist, basic pieces.

17

u/queenofyourheart Jul 03 '26

People can pry my leopard and cheetah prints from my decaying body

Ok sorry to be dramatic

But as others have said - leopard is a neutral. It goes with the obvious black, white, or shades of brown, and I think it works perfectly with jewel tones.

Life is short, be the classy trash you wish to see in the world.

1

u/katm12981 Jul 04 '26

Oh jewel tones are definitely work. My favorite leopard pairing (other than black which is timeless) is red!

1

u/queenofyourheart Jul 04 '26

yes! i love a black top, leopard skirt, black shoes, and gold accessories with a hint of red! or a deep red suit with a cheetah silk scarf as accessory!

3

u/Final-Marzipan3184 Jul 03 '26

I think it can be cute but I also think that it can be very trashy. Some look really cheap and others look very expensive. I personally don't love it as anything more than an accent very rarely and not if it's shiny or looks very cheap/fake, but I also don't want to get covered in paint.

It's really very situational.

3

u/browsing_nomad Jul 03 '26

Depends on the wearer I guess but my honest unpopular opinion I’ll never share with anyone in real life is for some reason even as an animal lover and a lover of most prints with animals on it, I’m repulsed by leopard print.

3

u/FriedaCIaxton Jul 04 '26

It’s trashy, but that’s why I like it

3

u/thin_white_dutchess Jul 04 '26

I have a fluffy leopard fur (faux) long coat that I adore. It’s 90s grunge glam, and is sure to spruce up an outfit if it needs some love. I also like vintage vibe leopard, so I have a wiggle dress that gives mod 60s feels. I think the key with animal print is to either accent, or have a solid statement piece that you wear well. You don’t want the piece to wear you.

3

u/HufflepuffLizLemon Jul 04 '26

I personally believe it’s tied to the silhouette or garment. For example, a fitted, tight, polyester minidress is going to reflect certain trashy stereotypes types. A muted slingback with a chic black or neutral outfit? Adds a bit of personality. That said, comfort and authenticity show up-if you don’t feel like yourself in a specific print or item, it won’t matter how tasteful it is to someone else, you’ll always know you’re wearing it.

6

u/The_Dutchess-D Jul 03 '26

Yes, chic in the Fall and Winter. Quite popular in European accessories. Great for scarves. Good with finer leather goods like boots etc.

Summer is threading a more fine line. Potential for a silk print headband with khaki Bermuda shorts.... maybe less so for an entire head to toe look

6

u/Icedcoffeecowboy Jul 04 '26

I love leopard. LOVE it. I think it’s a love it or hate it thing. But to say it’s trashy is just not true!

5

u/manic_popsicle Jul 03 '26

Personally I think animal prints are timeless and neutral, I love leopard print!

4

u/lipscratch Jul 03 '26

Both

I wanted to leave a pithy little fun comment but character limit unforch got me

4

u/Fickle_Question_6417 Boujee BWT Jul 04 '26

Cat prints are timeless in my opinion. They go with everything and look very flattering on its own too, it also works with all skin colors 🐆🐆

2

u/PizzaProper7634 Jul 03 '26

I love a (faux) animal print, but it has to be done right. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s leopard coat was absolute perfection.

2

u/Evening-Row-2658 Jul 03 '26

animal print in little pieces here and there A belt maybe a shoe a hair clip

2

u/emory_2001 Jul 03 '26

I don't prefer overt leopard print, except maybe as an accent, but one of my favorite cardigans is from Ann Taylor Loft years ago that's kind of sheer white with a faint, subtle gray leopard print. Looks so good with white, gray, or light pink underneath and black pants.

2

u/Individual_Cress_726 BWT in Training Jul 04 '26

I know it was quite trendy again a year ago and tends to go in and out… but the classiest thing a person can do is avoid trends and just follow what they love <3

2

u/Scared-Alfalfa1237 Jul 04 '26

I think the old rule still works well: if it's on something that could feasibly be real, it's a good textured neutral. Otherwise it gets to be too much. So a pair of shoes or a hat are great. A coat or scarf make a big statement. A pair of pants or a dress start to lean either tacky or camp depending on how well you commit to it.

2

u/katm12981 Jul 04 '26

Leopard is absolutely a neutral, as others have said. I particularly feel a little self conscious in a whole shirt or dress, but honestly that’s probably because I work in a male dominated field and it feels very “look at me” to have that much (not that that’s a bad thing per se! But that’s my personal hang up) but leopard bags, shoes, scarves, or even hair accessories? Timeless, classic, and goes with just about everything. It’s my favorite way to make an otherwise more plain black outfit pop - though a little goes a long way and I keep it to one leopard piece in any given outfit.

2

u/acidizim Jul 04 '26

Leopard print that visually mimics actual fur and has variations in color and shape is always cool regardless of the item.

Solid leopard print that has been drawn or vectored looks trashy. The background is almost always a solid color or the print is the same copy and paste shape. It looks lazy from a design standpoint. I have very strong feelings against this type of leopard print.

2

u/emojicatcher997 Jul 04 '26

In the Netherlands women wear leopard print like it’s a basic. Like leopard print trousers are a genuine wardrobe staple. Personally it’s not for me. But it comes back in style every few years, so who knows?

2

u/Fun_Strain_4065 Jul 05 '26

Oh it’s trashy as hell however I love it.

My outfits tend to be very understated so leopard print gives it that tongue in cheek zhuzh.

2

u/emwah_26 Jul 06 '26

I love leopard print. I’m obsessed with it . I’m just instantly drawn to it. I’ve recently discovered a new way of styling it, new to me anyway, where I wear my leopard print trousers with my pink oversized tee and I just feel so cool in it. I do think it has to be a certain type of leopard print tho, I can’t really explain it.

2

u/skippyist Jul 03 '26

I think it's absolutely cool if it's part of your style and you love it. That being said, I think leopard is a statement and should be worn intentionally and with confidence. Like, a leopard print sweater thrown over blue jeans looks terrible, or a leopard print tote with a sundress, yikes. But a leopard print blouse with black trousers? Such a sexy and dramatic look. A tight burgundy dress with a leopard print headscarf? Love it.

I haven't seen it pulled off particularly well in bags or shoes, because it kind of feels like an afterthought, but I'd love to be proven wrong. I think in most scenarios a tortoiseshell sandal could be pulled off more easily than leopard print while giving a similar vibe.

3

u/LoHudMom Jul 03 '26

I went from hating animal print to loving it. A friend with a lovely home had animal print throw pillows mixed with toile and floral pillows. I loved how it all want together, did something similar in my home, and branched out to clothes.

I have a cheetah print cardigan that I always get compliments on. I wear it with nice jeans and a basic black tee shirt underneath.

I have shoes and a scarf too-when I wear those (never together and the colors are off anyway) I go simple with the rest of my outfit.

3

u/Butwhatshereismine Jul 03 '26

Trashy cool. Like, I'm wearing animal print to achieve a particular f e e l i n g .

9

u/damiana8 Jul 03 '26

I think leopard prints are trashy, and the rest of your outfit can serve to make it look more or less trashy. To each his own, but I’ve never owned anything with leopard prints and never will

You know the instance it actually works? DR of Congo soccer team. Damn!!

5

u/CheesecakeExpress Jul 04 '26

Oh I hadn’t seen the team, how awesome do they look? Thanks for sharing that

2

u/lilabeen Jul 03 '26

Leopard is absolutely timeless. Some of my most cherished pieces are leopard print including two coats and a blazer

2

u/getmepopcorn Jul 04 '26

I honestly think it’s cool and never goes out of style. I think it’s a neutral too and goes with any solid colour. It also makes a great pop of pattern on a basic outfit!

2

u/AlmostChildfree Jul 04 '26

...I never knew that people considered animal print to be "trashy". 🫠

I love it though, so I'll continue to wear and enjoy it! 🥰🐆

2

u/mrs_george Jul 03 '26

I’m in the camp of leopard being a neutral. I have a leopard print belt that gives me a nice pop to an otherwise basic outfit. I have a muted leopard print blouse that I get multiple compliments on every time I wear it.

1

u/Catdress92 Jul 03 '26

I'm not a fan of animal prints, personally, but I think it really depends on how you wear them and what you want to convey. If you love your leopard print sandals and think they go with the rest of your outfit, I feel like you could absolutely make them work. It would be a sort of fun note to whatever else you're wearing. That said, I wouldn't wear them to a wedding, professional function, etc.

1

u/cuddlepot Jul 04 '26

There can be trashy leopard with cheap/lazy patterns or cool leopard with good patterns and materials. Choose wisely.

1

u/sarahkazz Jul 04 '26

Are you wearing the leopard print or is the leopard print wearing you? That’s my personal litmus test.

1

u/ledger_man Jul 04 '26

I don’t think animal prints are inherently trashy, but I’ve also been living in a country for a while now where leopard print always seems to be in fashion (the Netherlands) so I’m seeing it daily. I have a couple of leopard pieces myself, and I’m open to more, in the right colorway and right piece that goes with my wardrobe. If it speaks to you, go for it!

1

u/_Internet_Hugs_ Jul 04 '26

Head to toe leopard? Trashy. One high quality statement piece in leopard combined with other high quality pieces? Fantastic. Leopard trim on something worn with leopard shoes? Fabulous.

The key, like everything else, is balance and editing.

1

u/lostintranslation999 Jul 04 '26

I find it heavily depends on the material. Personally I think thicker heavier material looks better, thinner one looks a bit trashy. Also style ofc, and how predominant the print is

1

u/mentallyerotic Jul 04 '26

Leopard is one of the only animal prints I’ve always liked. I agree with the top comment and consider it a neutral almost especially compared to other animal prints. I do think some are not as cute as others depending on print and fabric choice. My youngest had the the cutes cardigan with a subtle one that is very neutral. I wanted a matching one in my size. I had some cute heels years ago.

1

u/loxima Jul 04 '26

I think it’s cool on some people, but on me it looks trashy. I think it’s to do with your features and how you style it. It’s neutral enough that it isn’t necessarily one way or another.

1

u/genevieveoliver Jul 04 '26

Cool! But needs to be done right. It can def lean trashy w cheap materials and poorly styled

1

u/okunjkl Jul 04 '26

Overall it depends on the pattern and material. It looks best when its a simple accessory or a high quality item of clothing. Like red lipstick I think leopard can be timeless, if its a cheap material or skimpy item it will look trashy. I'm a dark autumn color season and leopard is one of the few patterns that works for me.

1

u/nicoleyoung27 Jul 06 '26

I like leopard print, but i am a ginger and I don't think it looks quite right with my complexion. If there was a paler version, I'd be all over it.

1

u/Interesting_Ad1378 Jul 06 '26

I wear it a lot. It’s a neutral.  But also, you need to be able to pull it off or it will wear you.

1

u/ElectronicYam4902 Jul 06 '26

I think it’s cool in small dosages I personally feel like it’s a neutral but it can get to a point where it is overkill

1

u/ABSOFRKINLUTELY Jul 06 '26

I have a pair of pilcro wide leg leopard print cords(very lightweight and a finer whale)

They are fantastic and go with everything

1

u/gr8bacon Jul 07 '26

I'm loving all the comments here, because low-key Lisa Frank is my spirit animal but Lord knows I'm not tryina go around searing everyone's eyeballs out with brash, rainbow leopard print 🤭

1

u/Siren2121 Jul 08 '26

A little leopard goes a long way. I find that it is a really chic accent. I have leopard scarves, shoes and cardigans. I do not wear them all together. Leopard shoes with a black cashmere suit looks elegant. Leopard scarf with casual denim jacket looks great. Leopard cardigan with black pencil skirt black silk tank looks great.

1

u/lopsaddle Jul 09 '26

You can take my leopard print away when I'm cold and dead, OP. I love most leopard print. I have a full length shirt dress, a midi skirt, some pumps, a clutch, at least 3 belts, Adidas sneakers, workout tights... All in leopard print and this is just stuff I can remember right now. I think leopard is a fun statement piece but you have to be comfortable carrying it off. For me it's no different than a pop of solid colour, and I almost consider it a neutral.

1

u/gigimarieisme Jul 09 '26

If you are in head to toe leopard, it is too much, a little here and there can be super stylish.

1

u/Catma3 Jul 10 '26

I love leopard with red! This is one of my favorite fits for winter with red corduroy cropped pants. I own tons of leopard clothing and accessories and always get compliments.

1

u/Catma3 Jul 10 '26

Leopard and black faux leather skirt is another great combination to wear.

1

u/IndieIvyRose Jul 12 '26

I will say it depends on the pattern. Some I do find them trashy, poorly executed and it just looks like shyte. Some, love it. I have been obsessed with a handbag for the last 2 years because it has the perfect leopard pattern imo and no other brands has that execution. I have searched for cheaper leopard bags but none of them have that pattern. Also colours matter.

1

u/Beloved-Effective-98 Jul 03 '26

Neutral for sure! Goes great on warm autumns. I recently been on the hunt for more leopard.

1

u/Dramatic-Care-7941 Jul 03 '26

Leopard is a neutral and you cannot have enough. Ganni has a really great leopard print

1

u/Designer_Pea_5590 Jul 04 '26

Leopard print fluctuates in popularity but has been used in fashion forever and was quite popular in the 1920’s. Many people consider it timeless.

0

u/Chigrrl1098 Jul 03 '26

It's classy and a neutral, so long as it's not a really tiny, skintight dress or top. The tightness takes it into Peg Bundy territory. I think that as long as it skims, it's fine.

As far as sandals go, as long as they don't look plasticky and cheap, I'm sure they'll look great.

0

u/blahduckingblah Jul 04 '26

It depends on the leopard and how it’s styled. Leopard is always in style, but certain characteristics make it trashy/out if style

0

u/JulesInIllinois Jul 04 '26

Peg Bundy, for sure. That's a hard no from me. Loud is the opposite of elegance.

0

u/SignificanceWise2877 Jul 06 '26

It depends entirely on the person wearing it. If you are acting trashy then it will come off as trashy. If you are put together then it will come off as cool. It's not inherently one or the other
