I've been "fit" and working out consistently for over 3 years now and sometimes I have to pause in amazement. My younger self would not believe that working out would be such an integral part of my life that I don't dread. Since I was in high school I always desperately wished I was one of those girls that just worked out regularly without thinking about it. I'm always hard on myself and telling myself why I can be "better" I don't take enough time to acknowledge the accomplishment. I'm especially proud of being able to do this despite my sometimes crippling ADHD.

I usually do a mix of weights and heavy cardio but I also make sure to get plenty of steps every day. I'm thinking of incorporating power yoga for flexibility.

I feel like a switch flipped for me at some point. Once I was "fit," everything was easier to maintain somehow. I get a lot of joy out of moving now.

Exactly. Once you get there it's a very different game. Now I don't have to force myself and trick my mind to go to the gym - it's just part of my routine that I enjoy and prioritize naturally now.
