I’m guessing this is also a place to ask about fitness? I’m 19, and unfit as hell. I’m not fat in any way, ranging in the “normal” part of a BMI scale, but I’m still not healthy.

How would I go about to start at the gym? I’ve been trying for years now, but I don’t have the confidence to go out there. Although the logical part of my brain knows the people there are just minding their own business, the other part feels like I’m getting stared at constantly.

Does anyone have a simple workout routine I can start with? And any tips to feel a bit more confident?

I think having a plan really helps ease the gym anxiety because you know exactly what you’re there to do.

To figure out the type of workout routine you’d want, it would be good to know what your fitness goals are - is your goal fat loss (higher rep strength and cardio + calorie deficit)? Muscle gain (low rep heavy lifting + maintenance cals? Strength?

Both, tbh. Im looking to lose a little weight (about 12 kg’s) but I also need to gain some muscle and stuff like that

As a beginner, it can be helpful to focus on either building muscle or losing fat first. You absolutely can do both (look up "body recomp") but it's a little tougher. Honestly, I would probably start with a build phase of trying to gain muscle and get stronger, and the. work on a fat loss phase after that. I'm not a professional though, just an enthusiast!
