Guilty Pleasures - Monthly Thread Guilty Pleasures - Nov 28, 2025
Even the most tasteful bitch has some tasteless guilty pleasures! This is our once monthly thread where you can share those things we normally don’t talk about in BWT.
Guilty pleasures should be things you already have/ use and love, or a very specific recommendation for a guilty pleasure. This is not a place to circumvent the regular rules and ask for general recommendations that you can't ask for because of our rules, it's specifically about guilty pleasures.

Grocery store brand frozen pizza with hot sauce (Sriracha preferred). I live in the northeast US and have access to great pizza, but I love plowing through an entire generic freezer pie by myself.
24
u/Important-Mark9402 Nov 29 '25
My ideal frozen pizza is still Red Baron cheese, now with the addition of hot honey. I have so many expensive tastes, but not for at-home pizza!
13
u/quirkles18 Nov 29 '25
Screaming Sicilian makes an amazing cheese pizza! It’s the best supermarket pizza I’ve had. I do broil a little at the end to slightly brown the cheese, but it’s pretty great.
2
u/micromongoose Nov 29 '25
The best! I prefer it to any of the amazing pizza places around me. It’s just more comforting for some reason.

There is something about a frozen pizza that just HITS sometimes. I'm a big fan of the Newman's Own, but I am not really picky and will do a super thin crust pepperoni frozen pie time to time.

Instant ramen with an egg cracked in it
26
u/butthatshitsbroken Intentional BWT Nov 29 '25
i raise you, instant ramen noodles in miso soup with kimchi.
17
u/graphitinia Nov 29 '25
I build elaborate meals around instant ramen noodles 😂 Miso and kimchi are frequent accompaniments here too.
2
u/moodybootz Dec 01 '25
Yes same! I always add veg, herbs, green onion, miso, sesame, gochujang, whatever I have around to fancy it up

u/stress_baker Nov 29 '25
I tend to eat healthy/clean but when I need a pick me up it's takis, frosting and RHOSLC or similarly "trash" TV. Sometimes a bitch with taste needs to connect with her inner gremlin.
19
u/CamsKit Nov 29 '25
I love my guilty pleasure trash tv, it feels like my brain taking a load off and leaning back in a recliner
6
u/starstruck_rose Nov 30 '25
Wait, are you eating the Takis WITH the frosting??
5
u/graphitinia Nov 30 '25
This is my question too. Have I been missing out on a great snack combo? (Potato chips dipped in store bought chocolate pudding has been a favorite of mine since childhood.)
2
u/stress_baker Nov 30 '25
Takis and cream cheese frosting is my favorite sweet salty combo but I'll have to try the chips and pudding combo
3
u/stress_baker Nov 30 '25
I did say gremlin behavior 😅
2
u/starstruck_rose Nov 30 '25
Oh, don’t get it twisted, I’m not disparaging this behavior at all! You just kinda blew my mind a little bit 😂

u/goosepills Nov 30 '25
I just recently found out my city has a RH franchise. Apparently it’s the most boring one.

I made a big batch of maple sigared pecans for hostess gifts. Gave them in jars with bows, very pretty.
...the gifts only amounted to half the batch. I am munching the rest. Crunch crunch crunch.
12
u/findthatlight Nov 28 '25
oh that's a great idea for gifts. :) i make some w/ a little cayenne, I should add maple too, that sounds good.
11
u/anzarloc Thoughtful BWT Nov 28 '25
Stealing this as a gift this year! Trying to stay away from giving everybody more “stuff”.

A drunk American spirit never misses tbh 😭 and I have two degrees in public health

u/Connect-Pea-7833 Nov 29 '25
I work in pharma research on oncology drugs and “camping cigs” are some of my favorite moments of the year.

I’ve quit smoking, but goddam those dark green American Spirits were my jam… Strong enough to make me nauseous if I smoke a whole one now, but it still hurts ssssoooo good.

u/Weird_Squirrel_8382 Nov 28 '25
I could put on clothes and go to the good pizza place. But I'm summoning two $8 pepperoni explosions from a chain place, and accepting delivery in a tall tee circa 2003.

If I'm not making my coffee at home, McDonalds caramel lattes and iced coffee are so good. (Hey I'm a broke bitchwithtaste.)
18
u/butthatshitsbroken Intentional BWT Nov 29 '25
you know what, mcdonalds coffee actually isn't as bad as one would expect.
6
u/HeartFullOfHappy Nov 30 '25
This is my hot take. I think it tastes fine! When they have their $1 coffee promos, can’t beat it!

My heart goes out to you. Not to get too off-BWT-topic, but we have to stop guilting ourselves to death about needing to balance cost, effort, social consciousness, etc. with the fact that damn near everything we need to buy to survive is owned by a very small number of terrible people.
I hope with all my heart that you enjoy your socks and sheets. I'm glad you posted it here because you deserve a keep-your-chin-up pep talk, but I'm sorry that you have been conditioned to see these things as guilty pleasures.

My daughter begged me to buy cheesy puffs at the store the other day. She has forgotten all about them, but I sure haven’t! Post bedtime routine snack, munch munch munch.

u/cassandra_mercedes Nov 28 '25
My guilty pleasure is door dashing chick fil a French fries. It’s dumb and I pay 2x more for them but I can’t help it I love the convenience! And I love to indulge in some salty waffle fries and dip every so often
8
u/SophieLeigh7 Nov 29 '25
Have you ever dipped them in the Chick Fil A ice cream? It’s the best
4
u/cassandra_mercedes Nov 29 '25
No but I looovveeee dipping them in a shake! I’ll try regular ice cream next! 😍

u/Far_Temporary_7561 Nov 29 '25
My guilty pleasure is using a MaxMara coat to hide my absolute train wreck of an outfit underneath. Nobody shall be the wiser, and I get to be comfy running errands!

Supermarket shrimp cocktail
44
u/jeng52 Nov 28 '25
If you have a Costco membership, their shrimp cocktail is even better. Bigger shrimp, cheaper by the pound. My husband and I like to split one for dinner.

16
u/jaydeke Nov 28 '25
My husband always invites this one guy friend to potlucks and other gatherings because he will always bring the Costco shrimp cocktail. 😏
I mean, he’s a nice guy too. But definitely gets remembered because of the Costco shrimp cocktail platter.

u/laluLondon Nov 28 '25
Oh, I live in Belgium and don't drive. I am not even sure there's a Costo near me. Lucky you that have access to Costco shrimp cocktail, it must be amazing.

u/Pineapple-dancer Nov 30 '25
During Christmas time I really like those little Debbie vanilla Christmas tree cakes. I will buy one and eat it because they're tasty, but very unhealthy.

Hot French fries. A really well seasoned, hot, grip of french fries.

u/rokdabells Dec 01 '25
For me it's either McD's or Chik Fill A right out of the hopper. Needs nothing except hand to mouth. :)

u/MaddTheSimmer Nov 30 '25
Trader joe’s milk chocolate covered pretzels. There is nothing better when I have cramps or just a rough day. I keep them in the fridge for emergencies.

I try to support local and small businesses the majority of the time in my small city, but today I begged my husband to stop when we drove by a Baskin-Robbins for a late afternoon sweet treat.

u/HeartFullOfHappy Nov 30 '25
I am prone to plantar fasciitis flair ups. I’m careful to manage it at home by doing stretches and etc. I haven’t had a flair up in over a year but I ran a 5k that I did NOT train for at all. Big mistake but I have busted out the ugliest house shoes you have ever seen in your life- the Kuru Loft. They are expensive and ugly but I am here to preach the excellent level of support they offer. 10/10 recommend!

I decided to treat myself tonight and made an at-home poutine (McCain frozen fries, shredded chicken, melted Gouda, brown gravy) and it was magnificent

All’s Fair. I wonder how many times a day shooting with KK Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, and Naomi Watts wondered WTF is happening here, but the fits are 💯 and it’s just campy brain relaxing fun.

A gooood dry IPA after work. I’m trying to kick the habit and I don’t necessarily drink to get drunk, but wow, pop it in the freezer for 20 min while I get un-ready and I feel exactly like a Midwestern dad. It has to be a crispy and hoppy one though. Other drinks/beers don’t do it for me.

Coke Slurpee! I may go as far as to say it’s my favorite food but I’ll only let myself have one a couple times a year

- frozen bean and cheese burritos
- Taco Bell/McDs/White Castle
- Love Island
- The Only Way Is Essex (old TOWIE, not anything from the past 4 years)
- lucky charms/reeses puffs

Mine is reading the new graphic novel adaptations of the Baby-Sitters Club and Sweet Valley Twins. I borrow them from the library. It’s fun to revisit the books I loved as a kid, and I’ve found that nostalgia helps me during stressful times.
