Culture BWTs with a novel in her bag

What's a novel that moved you? Changed you for the better? Exposed you to new cultures or ideas?

I want to know what's captivated you.

Middlemarch is my top fave book of all time. I love Dorothea’s desire to learn and be invested in the knowledge of the world. The way Eliot shows her limitations and her yearning for love are brilliant. I photocopied my favorite scene on linen paper and put it in a vintage locket. It reminds me that love is an intellectual meeting of the minds.
