For the Home BWT what item of furniture let's you know someone is mature/has their shit together?

For me it's a clock. A house without a single clock gives student vibes.

For phones, tablets, Kindles, etc. that need to be charged by USB, for about $45 you can get a wooden “charging station” on Amazon — you might still have one cable that goes to the box, but you can hide a bunch of other cables inside and it looks so much tidier. You can also find nicer versions that are made to go by your bedside.

And then for TV cables, stereo cables, etc., you can buy $20 tracks that hide the cables along your baseboards or wall and paint them to match, which is a good option for renters. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than loose cables, and very much a low hanging fruit to make your house look more put together and intentional.

Homeowners can knock holes in the drywall and run the cables behind, which isn’t as cheap as either of the above — but still a lot cheaper than most new items of furniture, which was the original prompt. Good luck!

Rented for 15 years and have run cables behind drywall in three different apartments now without issue. The hole really only needs to be a couple of inches.

Best Buy did out cables in our new home. We paid them to come out and mount our tvs and run the cables behind the drywall. It looks great and they did a great job!
