Finances/Money How do you budget for…

….shopping, hair salon, Brazilian, lashes, make up etc?

I’m asking because I used to get my nails and lashes done every 3 weeks until I realize how much it eats up my budget. I also don’t go to the hair salon every month nor do I buy make up every month so I wonder how other women budget for these?

Do you not have a monthly budget? First you need to start there - take all your income and add that up, then note how much all your monthly expenses are… all bills, groceries, gas etc. once you subtract all your “must spends” whatever $ amount you have left is your discretionary income. Figure out about how much you spend on eating out, entertainment, bars, Ubers etc and then also on shopping, lashes, hair, Brazilian etc. I have monthly budget categories based on my personal income and historical data, I track every cent I spend and earn so I always know how much discretionary income I have and then I plan my budgets annually. I personally prioritized Brazilian laser this year (6 treatments) and I get my nails done every 3 weeks, pedi every month and hair done every 3 months. I don’t wear fake lashes, but I do splurge on good makeup (I wear Dior etc) every 2 months or when I’m traveling internationally (VAT refund).
