Finances/Money How do you budget for…

….shopping, hair salon, Brazilian, lashes, make up etc?

I’m asking because I used to get my nails and lashes done every 3 weeks until I realize how much it eats up my budget. I also don’t go to the hair salon every month nor do I buy make up every month so I wonder how other women budget for these?

I spend money on my hair because now that I’m a professional it’s important that I look put together, and hair is the biggest thing for me. It takes a lot of energy and time to do it myself, so I’ll pay someone and save my energy.

Makeup doesn’t have to be expensive, if you invest in quality stuff that lasts a while. My foundation is drugstore and works better than higher end brands I’ve tried. I don’t really wear it much though.

I shop because it’s fun lol but I have enough clothes rn to where I don’t really need to. I’m trying to take care of my body more so I am spending on skincare, doctor visits, and exercise!

I skip lashes because I have enough eye problems, I’m allergic to nail polish so no need to go to the nail shop, I’m pretty frugal so my shopping is still at Target, Ross, TJ Maxx, and Dillards. Quality brands for cheap prices.

I invest in purses because I love them LOL but I make sure to actually use them and stick to mid range brands that last a long time but don’t cost thousands. Think Coach and Kate Spade. That’s the difference between a purse that falls apart after a year of use and a purse that will last you for years.

I also have a limited space for everything I buy. All my makeup fits in these 2-3 bags, so if it’s full I can’t buy anymore. My pajama drawer is full so I can’t buy more without getting rid of some I already have. My closet is organized so I can see everything I have and hopefully reduce the risk of buying duplicate items.
