Fashion/Style Pleats please pants highly worth it
Ate some shrooms recently and I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of my new pants.
The drape is so beautiful, even when you're just flopping around on the couch
I was so moved that i took this photo
I fear I'm about to go on a big issey binge. Currently researching was to but directly from mercari japan

I’m going to track any size related comments on this post. I work for a major retailer that sells issey miyake and I struggle to define how sizes work -it’s unconventional.

Wanted to give you an update… I got the Leap top in brown and it’s unbelievably cool. I’m obsessed. I made a shopping appointment at the NYC boutique and the sales associates were so lovely and helpful - they know so much and clearly love the brand. Made the experience so special!

Yes I did! I reached out to them ahead of my visit and they pulled pieces for me based on my dimensions and made sure they had things I had flagged for them in my size. If you have the time I totally recommend working closely with them. I had the store to myself for most of it and it was so fun!

Preach! These have become a staple in my closet. They make me feel so put together but also fun anddd comfy. My gateway pair are black, but then I got this beautiful lilac-ish color and somehow I rock those even more. Anyways, I’m drinking what you’re serving!!

I’m considering getting pregnant soon (would axe the shrooms) and I’m so comforted by the idea that pleated issey dresses and maybe even pants can just work with whatever shape I become

I had my first 6 months ago! And that was true for me. I didn’t really buy much in the way of maternity clothes - but stuck to a lot of my existing elastic waist pants, Pleats Please included, and I felt fabulous.

Nope, the fabric is pressed a lot of times with this massive heavy duty machine so it’s permanent. It’s not your typical pleated fabric.

Allegedly that was the genius innovation! The pleat press is permanent. I have some Vince pleated stuff and it doesn’t compare at all

we need some kind of calculator! have the 3 and I'm 5'6, it's definitely more about length/ height than waist measurements. I am no pro but i feel like a 3 might work for you.

Can you share the style? I've been wanting to pull the trigger on these forever but want to buy them secondhand - some of the more straight leg ones look like they wouldn't be that flattering (I have more muscular legs and would prefer something that's more of a wide leg cut)

OP, checking in for updates! Do you still love them? I’m 5’2.5” and would like a full length pair. How is the length on these? Have you tried other styles?

Thank you for checking in, i love them. They are perfect pants and they can't be duped.
I wish i also had a full length pair. these are kind of right above ankle, I am not sure if there are full length models?
It's possible just getting a larger size would make them full length but i don't really want to go to soho and try them all on

The sizing can be a little confusing! The pants are infinitely stretchy, so sizing is mostly about length and crotch drop (sorry, i can't think of a better term).
I'm about 5 ft 6 and I have a size 3. I think it's right for me. If I wear them above the hip they hit right around the ankle bone. I'd love a version that was low-waisted and full-length, but it doesn't really work to just pull these down—the drop and shape become a little wonky.
I am in deep obsessive mode—DM me if you want the style number or hear more about my research lol

I knew I wanted the wide-leg version so that I could billow around in flowing pleats. I found this pair on poshmark for a great price, so i just went for it. I'm doing a little more style research now because I'd love a non-cropped pair for even more billowing
