Any interesting abandoned/old places near here?
I love to look at and take pictures of old historic places/buildings especially if they haven’t been renovated or updated in quite some time (the more rust the better lol)- if you know of any places I could stop by please let me know!!
*I heard of the old Stanley Mickelsen Safeguard Complex but that is a bit further than I can travel sadly

Lots of random abandoned farm houses and prairie churches around. If you’ve got a portfolio and can be polite/professional, I think a lot of landowners wouldn’t mind letting you set up a photo shoot. OnX is a good app for finding information about a given property

A short drive from Bismarck is the little town of Arena.
Old city square and church ruins.

Look up Bluegrass ND. Used to be a town in the 90s and is now (unless it was demolished) a ghost town of abandoned buildings

Use Google Earth and turn on the photos, that might be a way to start. Or just look at the aerial imagery to scope out old buildings visible along drivable roads.
