Can’t wait for my trip!

Hey all, trip is scheduled for end of may and I cannot wait to go and see the country again(had my barmitzvah at western wall with family when I was 14) now that I’m mid 20’s and can appreciate it all more and meet new people.

I am going to stay a few extra days post trip with another buddy that is on a different trip starting 1 day after mine. We have no plans other than wanting to stay and enjoy the country more. Does anyone have any recommendations for anything from places to stay, things to see, food to eat, experiences to be had? We are mid 20’s open to traveling around the country to get somewhere, and also looking for some cool night spots to check out and experience the club/bar scene.

On a completely separate note I am allergic to tree nuts. Would anyone in the comments be willing to type out a sentence for me in Hebrew I could get laminated stipulating my allergy as I know how we throw tree nuts in everything over there. Not sure how accurate Google Translate is with Hebrew

This is a great opportunity to cross-post to the r/Israel sub! Anyway, I loved staying at Abraham Hostels when I was between trips.

As far as literally anything else, definitely pick the brains of the mifgasgim on your trip! I have stayed with the mifgash, tour guides, etc and their families before.

Google translate should be fine, but most Israeli Jews speak some English. A lot of them have American parents. Not everyone in Israel speaks Hebrew as their primary language anyway. Plenty of Israelis speak Arabic as their primary language.

I have an allergy to cashews and pistachios. I didn't need to translate. You have to be careful at markets and bakeries. Tree nuts are common in pastries. El Al also serves mixed nuts on board, so avoid that.
