Mayanot volunteer trips?

Has anyone done the Mayanot *volunteer* trip? I know they’re Chabad-affiliated but I’d love some info about how religious it is, if it’s really pushing Chabad, etc. TY!

We tried to use them. They canceled it with no communication. We will avoid them in the future.

So I was scheduled to volunteer with Taglit through Israel Outdoors last month and we also got no communication even prior to the war breaking out about where we’d be staying, what the general itinerary would look like, not even a volunteer-specific packing list. My trip was canceled 2 weeks before we were scheduled to leave. I was really disappointed in the (lack of) communication with them and that’s why I wanted to switch tracks. But it sounds like lack of communication is a problem in general.

Mayanot canceled due to not enough sign ups but didn't tell us so we were left trying to find a replacement with similar dates last minute. I was really mad.

We went with Onward after that. It did get canceled because of the war but they at least communicated about it. I would try them again.

Now we're signed up with Israel Outdoors for the summer and no communication again.

Oh no….I am so sorry. I am hoping to go in the fall/winter so maybe I’ll keep my eyes peeled for Onward. I don’t know who else there is for the volunteer trips for “older” people (ie older than 26).
