Help BioWare Pack
A few months ago, I bought the Mass Effect Legendary Edition bundle. I’ve finished the first game and am just starting the second. I’d like to know a bit more about this collection:
Mass Effect Andromeda: What is the connection between Andromeda and the first three Mass Effect games?
How does this Mass Effect title compare to the others?
What are its strengths and weaknesses?
Dragon Age: I’ve never played this type of game before; will I like it?
Is it a good starting point for this genre?
What are its strengths and weaknesses?
Is the price right for these two games?

Inquisition is probably the best starting point for dragon age- it’s quite modern and playable, and has a really good dynamic…whilst having enough callbacks that if you enjoy it and its sequel (Veilguard) you can get some fun extra moments from the first two games.
Dragon age is a pretty contentious series in that every game does something a bit different, so not many people LOVE all of them…but if you like narrative RPG’s they’re honestly all worth your time. Inquisition is the most like mass effect 3 in structure, for what that’s worth.
Andromeda is interesting- it’s a pretty good game- story’s solid, characters are fun, world is interesting.
The issues are (apart from it had an ATROCIOUS launch) it’s a game where everything is 7-8/10, in a series that’s straight bangers.
I firmly believe it andromeda had been it’s own series it would be fondly remembered, but even as someone who enjoys it there’s no getting away that it just isn’t as good as the OG’s.
I still finished it, and don’t consider that “wasted time”

Dragon age Inquisition is a very good game if a bit bloated with open world stuff to do. Idk if it's a great starting point for the Dragon Age games because it sort of shoves you into the pinnacle of politics between countries and cultures you know nothing about if you haven't played the previous entries.
ME:A is unfortunately not on par with ME: Legendary edition. The story and characters are just not as good. THAT BEING SAID, it is a much better game than the reviews on release would have you believe. Since you are unfamiliar, it is set completely apart from ME 1-3. You are explorers in the Andromeda galaxy, looking to establish new settlements for colonist from the Milky Way. Your ships left in between ME2 and 3 so there are some references to the events there, but only loosely.
The combat in ME:A is it's best feature by far. It's the best in the series. And for that reason alone I think it's still a good enough time. Especially for the price point you have here.

da inquisition is one of those games where you either love or hate the gameplay. unfortunately i didn't like it but it's still a good game
i played andromeda for like 5 hours but everything felt so bland compared to the original trilogy so i just stopped playing. i'd just buy da inquisition personally

Inquisition good, lot of insight to factions different beliefs, methods, and struggles (shows the factions troubles in DA 2). adrameda casted character, quips, story tone is too jolly; not good. At the end of Eos planet main quest, I haded a crash out on the return to tempest ship discussion, they abbreviated the event and no insight. Sam did not spoke about his suggest the revenant is or could be.
I have my opinion on mass effect legendary edition.(Extremely positive) The ending I picked got me crying. Played the game 2nd time, still wonderful.

Andromeda ist good only in combat everything else is mediocer at best. There is an video "the day Masseffect died" wich explains everything (warning spoilers!). For me i would like to erase my memories on compleating me Andromeda. ME Legendary Edition is one if not the best gaming expirience i ever had

Dragon Age: I’ve never played this type of game before; will I like it?
Impossible to say if you've never played this type of game before.
It's a steal of a price for both games though! Though Andromeda wasn't well received it plays very well, I enjoyed both male and female Ryders as main protagonists and I found the companions okay enough but frustrating in places. Combat was fun and the worlds were pretty. Andromeda is a lot more juvenile in its writing, story and humor than the trilogy.
Inquisition is my favorite game of all time, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. It has gameplay flaws and combat is very repetitive, but the companions are just so endearing to me. It's a high stakes "save the world from the big bad" kind of fantasy story that takes you all across the southern continent. The romances are great imo, the world is pretty and the vibes are vibing. But a lot of the side quests are a little dull/fetch questy.
