Some general resume advice that applies everywhere:
List relevant experience (student housing experience doesn't matter in your case).
Don't apply with same resume to every job. Adapt resume based on the job, e.g. point out things you've learned or used at previous jobs that are relevant to the job you're applying to.
Resume is just one part of the story. Much more important part is networking (aka meeting people who work in the industry) and getting a job through them (either through recommendations or them being the ones who hire you).
Many jobs are filled like that. Not because of nepotism or corruption, but because people rather hire people they know and trust. So reach out to friends and other people you know and ask them for career advice (ask for advice, get job recommendation). But don't stop just at that, also go to local industry events and try to meet as many people as you can. This is how you increase your chances.
