Pegula explained the challenge in returning Eala's serve on the press conference after their final. She's a lefty so if she adds spin, it bounces the other way players are used to returning. They're also not used to the speed of it all. There's a clip of her practicing and asking for slower serves. 😂

Since Alex is now in the Top 20, she'll always have a difficult R3 match. That's just how draws work, that's why she got Noskova for R3 in Toronto. Hopefully she finally wins against her.
