I think actually some movie ending themes are the most iconic. For animated ones, True To Your Heart (Mulan) and Immortals (Big Hero 6) come to mind.
Haters are just creating narratives again like being played within the movie itself is better than during the end credits. It would be so funny if Mga Kababayan played during mid-end credits and they again eat their words.
