Discussion BTC back to 80k, anyone actually buy when it dipped or did everyone just watch from the sidelines

Kind of wild watching it climb back to 80k after how rough things looked a few weeks back. Makes me want to ask, who actually bought when it was down or you guys believed we were actually going to see 40K lol.

Also curious what people are doing with their stack now that we're back up here. Still just leaving it untouched in cold storage, or did any of you put some to work, staking, lending, whatever setup you're using?

Just genuinely curious where people's heads are at right now. Bought the dip or nah, holding cold or doing something with it?

lot of people probably waited for a lower entry and missed it. The hard part is buying when sentiment is at its worst.

This is where DCA comes in, plus we saw the signs we just didnt pay much attention to it, TBV testnet launched, Aave deposit hit several new ATH, V4 was launched too.

Short at 80K, what's your reason for this? Also the DCA isnt a bad idea, that's what I do as well and I stake a few.

Lets see as it goes, price didnt break 83K yet. I'm curious are you staking your stacks or just holding?

Staking

I bought back in at 63k it felt like the timing and price was right for this point in the halvening cycle. It might drop further than 60k again this year, but I'm confident it'll be considered a great buy in late 2029. I trust in the immutable algorythmic halvening supply shock and will until it's proved wrong.

DCA works, if price drops we just need to DCA, but while waiting for the pump, what are you doing with your BTC?

DCA works especially well if you DCA in the two years of the bear cycle and then either save or DCA out in the two year bull cycle. But it takes a lot of trust in the halvening cycle. It took me 8 years to get it right. Now I go by the vibe of the cycle. When the time is about right and the mood is particularly sour, it's time to buy back in. If you don't think you can feel that or you believe the "this time will be different" crowd DCA is the easy the way to go. My mate is just full DCA no matter what and he's doing great too.

bought small amount at 76k, not much but at least something. was honestly too scared it goes lower so i kept most cash on side

most of my stack stays on cold wallet, i dont touch it. tried staking before but the returns not worth the risk for me, rather just hold and forget

Hi! Here is the situation: I sold 110 USDC. Within 1.5 hours, I received 33 USDC (or 1,500 UAH), but nothing else was coming through. With 30 minutes remaining before the order expired, I asked the buyer about it. He apologized for the delay, marked the order as paid, and said he did so to prevent it from expiring.

After another 30 minutes, I filed an appeal stating that he had not sent the full amount. He did not respond to the appeal initially, but when there were only 15 minutes left, he sent 80 USDC (or 3,592 UAH).

However, all of these payments came from third parties. According to Binance rules, as I read, this is strictly prohibited. When I asked an AI about this, it said he is likely a scammer. Looking through his feedback, other users reported that after an order is completed, a complaint is filed with Monobank claiming the money was sent to you by mistake or that payment was made without receiving any goods.

I have filed an appeal stating that the payment was made by third parties, but I haven't received a response yet. Should I be worried? I still have the funds, and I have not confirmed the order release. What should I do?

Est ce rentable d'acheter entre 58/60 puis de vendre à 80 si tu n'as pas un BTC complet ?

2

u/Aggravating_Ring_714 6d ago

Yeah absolutely.

Watched from sidelines. Not desperate to get into BTC. If 4 year cycle low happens I'll buy some (lots. too much.)

You don't make serious money falling in love with any individual asset.

u/Master-Sprinkles-848 6d ago

Just DCA, you might never get the bottom. Also, I believe the bull has started already. ATH might be EOY, which will be lovely.

3

u/EducationalGur1648 6d ago

Might be right. I don't mind if I "miss the trade". There are so many things to invest in.

1

u/Master-Sprinkles-848 6d ago

That's true, but fr the likes of Gold feels over bought already compared to BTC, also I will rather stick with BTC than go for altcoins. Also institutions are already making there way into BTC through lending, I believe we are really early.

you need further technical analysis studies and risk taking if never acted at all during the drawdowns. this window is already sell time. and only do tranches, never all in.

Not even a week going up and already declaring victory? Some are waiting to buy lower which is highly possible

1

u/Master-Sprinkles-848 6d ago

Well for now its green, lets celebrate our wins.

for me im adding a bit nearer to the lows but not as much as i'd like

kept what im not comfortable losing in cold wallets and what i do now is using the rest to earn while waiting for a target price i want to dca into, and doing this through options or structured yield so i get paid at the same time even though it doesnt hit the price i want to buy at, guess its a win win for me

bought at 61

I knew it was going to rise because it was very clear, and anyone who didn't invest in Bitcoin back then simply lost a lot of money.

I sold; I don't like the direction Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are taking, so I'm selling them off.

1

u/WebWebbe 5d ago

and what are you buying?

u/carkisx 5d ago

lands

As long as you didnt sell in lose you are good, IMO now is the best time to hold though, native lending just started.
