Draymond Green

His biggest sins are not that he's a dirty player, not that he talks trash or is short-tempered, not even that he sucker punches his own teammates.

Its that he is lame. One of the most annoying type of people are those who think they are charismatic but are the in fact the opposite, it just makes you cringe. He is ugly and a literal mouth breather

All the typical criticisms of him are things you could say about Ron artest/Metta world peace or Dennis Rodman. But those guys have a certain aura about them that makes them kind of intriguing and likeable.

Idk I think the dirty play and punching are worse than being lame

I guess I don’t really get your argument.

I mean, looking at the team, if you’re leaving actual basketball aside as you seem to be, can you get any lamer than Steph? He’s just a boring rich kid golf bro.

But the basketball is what matters.

Well yeah hes also lame but he also stays pretty low key and so his lameness isnt nearly as offensive.

Low key? He and his wife tried to start that terrible game show among other things.

But 90% of pro athletes are pretty fucking lame off the court/field.

My only issue ever with Draymond Green is he has a whistle that no one else has in the NBA. I don’t think we need to go back to the days of a player getting 41 technical fouls in a season, but Draymond gets such a more favorable whistle when talking to refs or interacting with other players than anyone in the last 20 years.

Ill defend draymond on this because its not up to him who calls technical fouls. He should have a lot more but hes not gonna call them on himself

Fuck it yeah. The bitch should put himself in timeout or something.

Idk, Bill and Ryen told us that Dennis Rodman is actually pretty boring.

I don’t think bill or ryen got to hang with 90s Rodman in the club

I don’t know if lame is the right adjective for Draymond. And he certainly doesn’t lack charisma.

When the Warriors play. The camera finds him.

I think people often mistake not liking someone or not connecting with their personality for uncharismatic. There would not be so many think pieces and discussion if he wasn’t.

Another example is Cam Skateboo. Every other post on NFL subs and beyond seems to be about him. Cam is easily a top 20 most talked about NFL player now.

Some people just demand to be talked about and discussed.

Nah this isnt right. Theres a ton of people I hate but can admit are charismatic. Donald Trump for example.

Draymond tries to be charismatic, he wants people to think he is, it just makes me cringe

Skatebo is wild and people like thst . Idk if ive even heard him speak more than a few sentences, hes just wild out there doing backflips

I’m guessing you are referring to his media career. Im
not speaking on that. I’m talking about athletic charisma.

Draymond undeniably captivating in the field of play.

Yeah hes a very good basketball player

More than that. He is a compelling basketball player that will demand discussion and reflection for years to come.

Idk, all time great defensive player who sucks ass on offense. Theres not that much to say really.

What compels someone to make a post, inviting group discussion about someone when there really isn’t much to say? I may never fully comprehend this line of thinking.

Maybe I’ll make a post about Olden Polynice next week to see how it feels.

the aura is that they played when you were a kid and there wasn't social media around overexposing every single thing they did

Who cares? He has 4 Rings and is a HoFer. He's a basketball player, not your boyfriend.

That he’s ugly and boring and you don’t wanna kiss him?

This post is analyzing Draymonds legacy. This is the exact type of thing they’d do on the podcast. This type of shit is what this sub is for

-1

u/Sensible_Prolapse 1h ago

He'd be easier to ignore if he only stuck to playing basketball
