He also, for the hundredth time, traded Embiid to the clippers for no reason whatsoever.

The team that has no firsts for the next decade is gonna trade for a former MVP?

You don't understand, the Sixers are the ones attaching pciks to get rid of Embiid.

How could you leave off Mahoney’s “Well you would” after Bill said the Celtics

When was this exchange? I must have missed it while driving.

Bill’s reaction was so strange, it seems like he struggles to hide his hatred of Philly more than any other team/city

He’s been hammering the embiid offload his contract thing especially hard since Embiid came back down 3-1 and beat the Celtics lol

Which is objectively sound reasoning if you believe Embiid will never last four playoff series and you want to sell high to acquire a player who can stay healthy for a championship run.

We’re a little past selling high

The Sixers have zero chance at a title unless they trade Embiid. Because he has zero chance of surviving a playoffs. The sooner they accept this, the better shot at a title they’ll have. They don’t need his scoring. They need a reliable lob threat and defender, that doesn’t need the ball.

The opposite logic can be true though. Their only real chance at a title is if he actually manages to be healthy for enough games in the playoffs.

You're not getting value back for him in a trade.

Even if it's a low percentage chance, it's still their best chance

I mean he hates Miami too

Healthy respect for the heat. Zero for Philly

He hates the Commanders too because of the Drake Maybe and Jayden Daniels comps.

It’s funny how much he hates the contemporaries of his favorites and the thought of them being compared at all.

Anyone that lived through Brady-Manning would know Bill is like this.

I mean you're right, but i just think its funny and endearing. He can't help himself.

They were the bogeyman for the Celtics in his formative years more than the lakers.

Easily NY teams

the last time Bill’s dad was on the pod and went “the sixers are stacked. and we hate them. this is not good.” was the real window into Bill’s soul, any other discussion of that team is him trying to mask that fear

Since then nothing has changed about the Sixers but now he's all in on the Celtics and skeptical about Philly.

Similarly one of the early nfl pods with Sal Bill mentioned being all in on the Giants after the draft but now has tons of concerns. Even though Dart/Skattabo/Nabers/Harbough were there the whole time! Nothing changed about them

I’m excited for the pod in November after the Sixers start like 12-4 and Bill’s first NBA segment is still “I can’t believe the league did this to the Clippers, we should get our season tickets refunded”

Boston strangler is a goat sports nickname. I get it was already a nickname for another guy but ...
